I am very skeptical about Wii U. Compared to when Wii came out a few years ago, I really have no anticipation for this console. None of the games that they have talked about seem to caught my attention. I'm not a fan of Pikmin and I really don't want to see yet another New Super Mario Bros. I din't even care for that game on the Wii either. The technology is also not speaking to me either. Why would Nintendo make an HD console now when next-generation consoles are bound to come out within the next two years from XBOX and PlayStation that will have even better graphics? Nintendo will once again have the console with the least appealing graphics in a short amount of time, which makes me think that an HD console should have been released years ago when the 360 and PS3 were just being released. The only thing that might make me buy this console are the games coming out in the future such as the new Super Smash Bros.

Smash bros is further along then I thought I figured next E3 would be the first hint of the game so at least now e know it's being worked on. I also noticed Sonic and Shadow were on that picture and Snake wasn't. A coincidence or a hint?

Snake is right in the middle. It's just a collage of characters from Brawl.

I wouldn't expect Smash 4 to drop anytime before 2014.

Amazon doesn't even determine those kinds of things; it's all word of whoever the vendor is. And yes, it's very laughable, because "holiday" releases happen in November.

I wont take that Release date as "Definitive" but if the Wii-U gets released around holidays then
it has to be between November and December. (November seems a better idea)

The list looks meh. I knew that the Wii U would have a weak section of launch titles. I will wait next year when more games comes out.

No launch titles were leaked. Everything is launch window or Holiday.

Still nothing that the Wii U has to ofter makes me want to buy one on the first day. I'm still going to wait until next year when the price drops and that they will have more in stock by then. I'm pretty sure the Wii U is going to sell on the first week everywhere like the Wii did in 2006.

I haven't sen that anywhere. Only thing I know he's commented on is that the launch window varies from console to console that Nintendo has released.

Pikmin 3 will sell this for me, and NSMBU looks like it'll be fun. Not 100% sold on launch yet, but I will be buying one.

With hardware sales yea. Software? skreeonk no. Nintendo has been loseing a lot of money the past couple of years since once the Wii stopped selling like hotcakes they found out there software sales could prop the up.

Except you're wrong.

Nintendo has reported their first loss in a long time (according to forbes, 3 decades)this past fiscal year, and there were only two major contributing factors;

1. Absolutely horrendous yen-to-anything conversion. A Wii sold at $99 this year made them a lot less money than it did last year, and the year prior.

2. The NES, Super Nintendo, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, N64, Game Cube, Game Boy Advance, DS, and Wii all sold at a profit. Every one of their systems did. At launch, and throughout their lifespan. Notice a system missing? The 3DS was first sold at a profit, and not too many people bit at it. This is the first time ever they sold a system at a loss. But guess what? This past 2 weeks has now pushed the 3DS from a loss every unit to a profit.


Also, financially, Nintendo is set to have a year like they had this past year for the next 15 years.(see sources)

Also, software is entirely subjective on which ones are better.
