So, apparently today was Brony Day according to Equestria Daily. So I tried to make an MMM. I'll upload pictures once they get sent to Facebook from my friend's phone.

The Leek Spin songs goes through my head whilst I post this.
But I, that am not shaped for sportive tricks
Nor made to court an amorous looking-glass;
I, that am rudely stamped, and want love's majesty
To strut before a wanton ambling nymph.

Ugh, saw that pic in a grimdark PMV. X_X

I've been wondering lately, what would a Keizer Ghidorah-styled dragon look and act like?

JAGzilla wrote:^ Like Keizer Ghidorah, I imagine.

I've already been imaging multiple creatures from other franchises appearing in Equestria:

Gwangi: Yeah this was going to happen one way or another. I would assume he would do what he wants and not listen to anybody, and he would only fight alongside the Mane 6 simply because he loves to fight Discord.

Jaws: I'd imagine that Jaws would neither be the most dangerous ocean creature nor the weakest. He would probably be the reason why there's never an ep showing a beach.

King Ghidorah: KG would probably be a prime example of an Earth-evolved creature that usually dwells in space. In fact I could imagine Nightmare Moon encountering a Ghidorah on the moon.

JP Spinosaurus and T-rex: These two would really only be like any other creature of the Everfree Forest, and they would be natural rivals and probably hunt creatures like hydras or young dragons.

Xenomorph: Xenos would be like a virus; they would spread uncontrollably if left unchecked and infect any civilization they came across. The ponies would probably keep them contained.

Hulk: Hulk would be to Equestria what Godzilla would be like to Japan: he'd attack any settlement either for food or if he feels threatened, and attacking him with forces would only gain his anger. I'd imagine that if Hulk were to be left alone to his own wits in the Everfree forest and no pony would disturb him things would be okay until Hulk decides to advance on civilization.

I've got more ideas, but I don't feel like saying anymore right now.

If there's never a beach episode, how would we meet Jaws to begin with?

And T-Rex (or Spino, same difference) hunting hydras... I don't think so. The hydra is at least the same size as a Rex, if not bigger (haven't seen the episode in a while) and has four mouths full of fangs. The Rex probably wouldn't have trouble taking out one head, but would have no way to stop the other heads from mauling the hell out of it at the same time. No sane predator would risk that on a regular basis.

I'd imagine that the Rex would flank the hydra from the sides, and would try to flip the hydra over by repeatedly biting the legs. Once the hydra would be down, the Rex would bite at the hydra's stomach to disembowel it. The Spino would probably do something like this, though it would gut the hydra with it's claws.

As for Jaws, I guess they would explain how Jaws' species(whom I call Great Blacks) would be naturally aggressive towards anything in the waters they use as territory, and this would include beaches for some of them.

I don't suppose you've read this fic before?

I read it and enjoyed it. This is what I think would happen if Xenos came to Equestria.

Oh I've read that fic and liked it. Though in all honesty, I would imagine the Xeno just outright killing Fluttershy without a thought. I really don't understand how the Xeno would mistake Fluttershy for the queen, but aside from that I liked it. I could imagine something similiar to that fic, but with Werewolves instead. Could be interesting.

^ Is that the one with the vocals? If so, I tried it the other day. Meh. Super Ponybeats work best as instrumentals. Singing doesn't fit.

While we're on the subject of music, the show's songs are something we haven't discussed here in a while. So what are your favorites? Some of mine, in no real order:

Season One:

- The Art of The Dress: Still the Rarity song. Does a really good job of showing us Rarity's dressmaking process in an entertaining way, as well explaining some of how she views her job and friends. The music is very catchy and memorable, too.

- Winter Wrap-Up: One of the few songs that all of the Mane Six get in on, but sort of incorporates Ponyville as a whole rather than focusing on specific characters, Twilight's parts excluded. It has a nice 'teamwork' and 'helping others' vibe to it, rather than being more inwardly-focused like some of the other songs. It's also sort of a uniquely pony holiday song; instead of being about decorating or something like that, it's about how they change the seasons. Cool stuff.

- Giggle At The Ghostie: The first, and absolutely one of the best. I like how the characters' reactions sort of mirror the likely initial reaction of the audience; annoyed disbelief at a musical number popping up out of nowhere, then happy acceptance as Pinkie's infectious positivity destroys all ability to disagree with her.

- At The Gala: Another song that includes all of the Mane Six. Does a solid job of capturing their excitement and enthusiasm, and selling the Gala as a huge, life-changing event for them. Dash's segment is particularly straight-up awesome, with the trumpet fanfare and Wonderbolts flyover. Poor Applejack, though. Even here, she's overshadowed and downplayed by her friends. They mostly have these big, epic dreams, and she's just there to get rich quick. Which is understandable and noble in its own right, the money being for her family and all, but it just looks kind of pathetic in the song.

Season Two:

- Find A Pet: A Fluttershy and Dash duet. Come on, how awesome is that? It really solidly captures Fluttershy's enthusiasm for animals, and was a great chance for her to be outspoken and assertive: eagerly showing off her menagerie to Dash, making recommendations, etc. Dash and her shallow selection criteria were played well, too. She comes across as naive and making bad choices, but not in an over-the-top, selfish way like in Mare Do Well. She's still likeable, and retains that all-important Dash coolness.

- Smile Smile Smile: Pinkie's best of the season, no question. I didn't really care for it at first; being played seriously instead of comedically like the others felt kind of jarring for a Pinkie song. But I've come to appreciate it for that. It feels honest, if that makes sense. Like this is Pinkie at her core, all the jokes stripped away. Comedy is an integral part of her character, of course, but this shows the deeper motivations beneath that. She basically exists to make people happy, which in turn makes her happy. Perfect characterization for the living embodiment of Laughter.

- BBBFF: As good a way as any to establish Shining Armor as a critically-important-but-hitherto-unmentioned aspect of Twilight's life. It's catchy, it's cute, and the bouncy, upbeat pop style fits Twilight surprisingly well.

- This Day Aria: I don't really remember this one very well; I've only heard it twice, most recently two months ago. Good concept and everything, though. This show really needed a Disney-esque villain song.

I LOVE Smile, Smile, Smile and This Day Aria. I can, have, and will probably continue to listen to them over an over without getting bored. Tripple S is just beautiful, and powerful in a strange, lifting way. It honestly makes me smile. "I give a smile, I get a smile"- that's pure Pinkie right there. As for Aria, villain songs in general tend to get me.

Pinkie's little pig song in Baby Cakes is surprising catchy as well. First you wiggle your tail, oink, oink, oink! Then your wriggle your snout, oink, oink, oink!
