I could have done without him.

I thought Orga was pretty cool. He was the last good orignal monster IMO.

Orga was the best part if G2K. That and the very end of just music and Godzilla setting fire to the city. I remember when I got the Bandai toys of G and Orga, it was great. I really liked Orga, he was really original. I wish he would have had a lot more involved in the film besides that UFO. The movie was a travesty, but Orga was the ish. In my mind, he was in the entire movie.

Anyone ever notice that the Wretches from Gears of War look kinda like mini-Orga's?

Not too fond of Orga. In my opinion, a kaiju that no one will really remember NOR recognize like greats such as King Ghidorah or MechaGodzilla.

Make that non-existent. In Japan he was as popular as a massive, wet fart on a crowded bus. I don't see him ever coming back.

It's Japan. I'm sure there's a subculture that really enjoys that.

I'm sure there is. But I don't see this guy being a big enough name to make it into an American film and it's really doubtful we'll ever see him again in a Toho film.

And as far as Japan is concerned I believe Orga is the only Godzilla series monster to never be put in toy form by any other company except for Bandai in 1999.

The Rancor and Orga have some similarities. Yes. However, Orga's origins, set of powers, and general look set him apart from the Rancor.

Sort of like Godzilla and the Rhedosaurus.

Rancors. There are several species. Semi-sentient too. They have oral histories. And are very caring parents.

Orga's ok. He's in a pretty mediocre movie, and the way he gets destroyed is just bizarre. But his awesome hands make up for that.

I think The Cloverfield monster looked more like a rancor than Orga did.

But anyway I think Orga was cool but didn't get enough screentime. It felt like he was just plopped in there at the end. They never really mentioned his name if I recall correctly. But as Soundwave said if he was introduced halfway through the movie I think he would have been more memorable.

But he will always have a lasting impression on me because I love the way Godzilla defeats him. Going inside of him and then you suddenly see his spikes glow and he blows him up from the inside. I loved that when I first saw it. I remember telling everyone at Tae Kwon Do about how awesome it was but of course they weren't as enthused as I was.

Orga's okay, I've always had a soft spot for the giant scabby mushroom of doom, probably because he was the second monster I ever saw, and he's always been far different, enjoyably different at that monster.

Orga was a very fun villain. I wish theyd done more with him. Aliens + Regenerator G1 = Win.

G2K being my favorite Millenium film and all and I think Orga is the most enjoyable foe in G:STE

Now that you have proven me wrong ha ha. I think the snout and face of the cloverfield monster looks familiar to the rancor. But the rest....not so much lol. You make a good argument.

I think he had a good design (he certainly looked imposing), but imo he lacked the strength, both physically and in terms of character, to be the solo villain of the film. But he's been one of my favorite monsters in DAMM and Unleashed, so maybe I'm biased.
