Wat. Seriously, wat.
Then there's all the people that think that Oppenheimer's speech is from the Book of Revelations/Raymond Burr or that it's referring to King Ghidorah.

This famous quote is probably the most haunting and fitting thing Legendary could have added to the trailer, and only a few people got it.

I can understand the Raymond Burr thing since it sounds like something he would say even though the voice sounds nothing like him but the Bible? Sure it sounds bibicle but he says "I remember the Hindu scripture", and he's talking about a god who isn't named God.
It's amazing how people can pay attention and yet at the same time not pay attention.

"This movie is going to be shit." but I'm actually gonna try and clarify that through a number of a statements:
A, making it entirely CGI, just don't do that. This is the same problem I have with a lot of grand spectacles I see on movies today. CGI looks FAKE, CGI doesn't look real and it will never have the same impact as actually doing it. A guy in a rubber suit walking through a miniature building looks like a guy in a rubber suit walking through a miniature building whereas a giant, CGI lizard destroying a house looks fake. This is really my main reservation and the one reason why I'm fairly certain Godzilla will never be as good as he was back in the days.
B, making it outside of Japan. Okay, so, guess what? Godzilla means skreeonk all to anyone outside Japan. He's a funny oddity that people like to see because it's goofy and stupid. But Godzilla means something to Japan because they understand what he was born from, we don't. Godzilla is a walking, roaring, destroying symbolism of the atomic bomb. The very fear they felt from the use of nuclear weapons on their native soil and the ramifications this had on the entire nation gave birth to Godzilla. We outside of Japan cannot possibly fathom what that's like and don't give me any of that "putting myself in their shoes", we understand their fear just as little as any white person can understand the fear a black man feels about slavery.
C, Godzilla has no place in modern society. This is probably my biggest problem with this whole debacle: Godzilla is a relic from a bygone era in more ways than one. Even the people who experienced and lived through the nuclear bombs are dead or very close to death now but more important, he's a symbol of a bygone era in cinema as well. The Millenium series felt pointless enough as it was but at least that had awesome miniature and suit works, what the hell is this gonna bring, good looking CGI? Oh yeah, that's a draw these days, please, sweep me off my feet. What's the point of making a Godzilla movie these days? To make a disaster movie and let's just count on one hand how many of THOSE have been good in recent years.
D, they want to make 3D an important part. Go skreeonk yourself, it's not new, it adds skreeonk all, it's a pointless gimmick and movies are made less for using it. No, really, I thought Avengers was less of a movie for using 3D. Not because it looked like shit, which it did, but because it made me go "What's the point? This isn't making the movie better or worse... in fact, no 3D I've seen has ever really made it better or worse..." It's stupid and complete gimmick bullshit.
I have no faith in this movie turning out good at all. I respect Godzilla on so many levels, their work with miniatures and suit works has gone from amazing to absolutely brilliant over the years and there have been very few things to rival Godzilla in this department and has, as a matter of fact, been a major draw over the decades. I know I sound archaic and boring when I say it but Godzilla without the miniatures and suits and what have you... it's just NOT going to work.
Also, it's made in America and it's not gonna turn out any better than last time. Feel free to prove me wrong, movie, I dare ya!

I actually feel sad for him.
