According to the timeline 80 meter Godzilla never recovered from the ANEB so most likely when Godzilla is increased in power again to his 100 meter self is when the timeline shifts again to the current Heisei timeline that we see in the movies, that's how I see it.

While that may be true, you have to remember that there was that one scene in Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah where the nuclear submarine that was intended to revive the Godzillasaurus in the Bering Sea was intercepted by Godzilla himself, and destroyed. I always took that incident as the reason behind Godzilla's 20 meter growth spurt. The sub from the 70's that was referenced earlier on in the film was the cause of the mutation of the Godzillasaurus in the first place into the Heisei Godzilla, only 80 meters at the time.

And that's more or less correct.

Well, the Heisei timeline is so jumbled up that it's hard to really grasp the general concept of it without reading the 'official' explanation of it.
That's why whenever I watch any of the Heisei films, I just toss continuity out of the window and enjoy the movie rather than wrap my head around the whole idea of the entire continuity.

That made a lot of sense. The nuclear sub explains a lot. Basically, there were 2 G-saurs; the Lagos one and the 54 one buried somewhere right?

Well, depends on what you want to believe.

They never said that the original Godzilla was a Godzillasaurus. The creators didn't say so, at least. And that's the word every has as law.

Did anyone else watch Gvs KG the first time and understand the time travel plot either almost right or completely right.

I always figure that the futrains are talking about G54's creation and had they not moved G84 at all he would have died on the island.

I thought it was a weird movie but right when I saw the American soldiers being killed in such a lame way, it took me right out of the movie. Still bugs me.

There is one problem though. I just watched GvKG and one of the Futurains says that the same being cannot exist twice at the same time: one of them would dissappear. He says that this is the reason as to why they cannot take Mr. Shindo back in time. If this is true, then when Mecha King Ghidorah goes back in time, there are two Ghidorahs, meaning one of them would have to dissappear. Since Mecha King Ghidorah didn't dissappear, that means that the other one did. And if that Ghidorah dissappeared then it wouldn't exist in the future to be made into Mecha King Ghidorah.

Edit: You know it's really incredible that the plot for this movie hasn't started a black hole.

^ I think it only applied if they met. Only problem is he is a soldier and probably wouldn't feint when he saw himself a la Back to the Future. That concept I understood as a paradox like action which theoretically could cause the older version to disappear.

^This is all based on the assumption that the Futurians were telling the truth.
Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

Because they so were right about everything else they said in the movie.
