Bus Monitor Harassed by Kids on Bus

I don't want to come across the wrong way, but she's a bus monitor right? Isn't she supposed to discipline the kids when they act up? She just sits there and takes it. The bus drivers/whatever at the public schools I went to wouldn't put up with that shit.

And this is exactly why my level of sympathy only goes so high. My own bus drivers always disciplined the kids and if we had a monitor, so would they.

You don't think you'll be SUCH a bad parent that they'll behave this way do you?

Like me, he doesn't like children. I'm willing to say that I would be a bad parent.

I'm not the biggest fan of kids neither.

Sure my mind may change in the next 10 to 20 years, but as of now, I don't like 'em. Kids that I have met are always spoiled, non disciplined, disrespectful, and foul mouthed. Heck my nephew fits into those categories, which is somewhat messed up for me to say, but it's the truth. I'm glad that bus monitor got a crap-load of money in response to this. Whatever happened to spanking your children or disciplining them in general? That's how I was disciplined when growing up (I'm 21 next month FYI) and I believe I turned out great. I read these bogus articles online of how disciplining your children may have mental consequences in the future. I call that a load of bull! If a parent loves their child, they HAVE to discipline them when necessary. If not, then the child would surely take advantage of a cowardly parent or adult figure, and even resent them for it.

Hell, if I ever have kids, I'll raise them the same way as my Mom and Dad raised me. Teach them respect, responsibility, and humility, discipline when absolutely necessary, and not spoil them too much.

It's the public schools.
You can try your best to raise your kid to know whats right and wrong. although the moment they step into a high school and make friends with some dead beat loser kid, their behavior will change.

Eh, private schools have their jerks too

^ From the 5th grade to the 12th grade, I attended at least three different private international schools since I moved around from country to country a lot. From personal experience, while there ARE definitely jerks, the issues that occur are NOT as bad as they are from public schools. In International Schools the kids who are complete jerks don't last long, stand out easily amongst the crowd, and are usually suspended or expelled. International Schools care about how they're seen and they DON'T like bad eggs... so to speak.

So yeah, I don't know about typical private schools, but international schools... they are strict with this sort of thing!
