How come Anguirus was not in the Heisi series?

I don't know why Anguirus wasn't in the Heisi series? I heard it's because he isn't popular in Japan then he is in America.

Interesting, I have an old book called "Godzilla" published in 1977 by Crestwood House and it has a picture with Anguirus' back armor split down the middle like that. It's actually like a composite shot cause the Godzilla is not the "Gigantis" suit. Of course this book calls Anguirus, quote, "the fire breathing Armadillo". So, who knows, it could have been the suit that was to be used in "The Volcano Monsters".

Ya know now that I see that picture of Barubaroi and others like it, he gives me a sort of "The Thing" vibe. Ive seen one picture of him that he appears to have parts of several other kaiju in him like The Thing.

Let's face it, Anguirus was just too awesome for the Heisei series and he would've stole the spotlight from Godzilla, then the audiences would've wanted an Anguirus trilogy and Mothra's trilogy would've been cancelled. Not to mention the sheer amount of popularity that Gigan would get from becoming the main antagonist of Anguirus in said trilogy.

Aguirus is apparently more popular in America than Japan. Mothra is more recognizable than him, no way her trilogy is gettin interrupted.

Hate to day it, but he was right. And that video was intended for comedy, not to be an awesome chart-topping anthem for the masses. I can't believe no one else got a kick out of that.
