The page is awesome, and all that Lenbo has suggested is very good. I'm looking forward to this.

Reading your interview on what it "could have been" with "more time" always depresses me. Take all the time you want and dont give in to Pipeworks wanting to get the game out for some sort of Christmas games rush. That may get you money, but let me tell ya, the fans wont be impressed at a half - assed attempt (pardon me). Battlefield 3 on PC hit that problem, with numerous instability issues (apparently rendering it almost unplayable). Take your time, patience is a virtue.

Another big part of the solution is to put the game out on PC - which means it can be patched at any time. If we release Kaiju Combat: Godzilla, and the color of Godzilla's Atomic Breath is slightly off - I can change it and patch every copy of the game in an hour - fixed. Releasing on consoles means that patches are essentially impossible - without lots of $ and publisher support, at least. Valve decided to not patch TF2 on console, because it was too difficult and expensive. As much as I have faith in myself, I doubt I'd be faster / cheaper / better at patching than Valve.

I still don't see why it won't be that hard to have a story based on the films? The only way if I want a original story again if they give us a better written plot.

it probably costs them more money for licensing fees, that seems to be the only obstacle for any of it. more than that, this is not a godzilla game. it is a kaiju game that may feature godzilla, so to base it off of any particular franchise when its going to hopefully feature characters from other franchises would be odd. im pretty sure the focus of the game is giant monsters fighting so i couldnt care less about the back story to it, as long as they nail the giant monsters fighting part. but thats just me. id rather them sink the money they raise on acquiring the licenses everyone wants to see, Godzilla, Gamera, Ultraman, Stay Puft, ect. amd adding and improving on gameplay features and graphics before they focus heavy on a story line that will likely be ignored by most players.

Well, I'd like the story to include at least 8 fights - which means a minimum of 9 monsters. What film has that many monsters? What if you want to play as a different character? If your fights have no impact on the story, how does it remain an interesting element, as opposed to something you just watch once and then skip in frustration?

I think he means you start Story Mode then you pick Showa then you do a level which is Godzilla King of the Monsters when you beat this level the next level is Godzilla Raids again against Anguiurs. Then you would have a Heisei and Millennium story mode.

Ah. That sounds like a "recreate classic fights" mode - where each encounter is a stand-alone thing. That sounds cool. Story mode, on the other hand, is a very different sort of thing.

How about have "Movie Challenge" mode, where you can recreate classic fights and either recreate the outcome or change it. Sort of like Lightning Challenge from the NASCAR Thunder series (I know its a weird reference but NT2004, G StE and Harry Potter Quidditch were my first PS2 games back in 2003)

That is good to know, good sir. PC is patching and modding heaven.

Also, I'm sure you have been asked before, but what about finishers? It would be easier on PC and I'm not talking Mortal Kombat style. I just mean special moves, kinda like the throws in G:U. I would like to share some if you dont mind. They could be an option in settings.
