It's cute. I'll see it because I love the CGI style and I love family films.

I didn't really care for the new trailer, but it IS a trailer, and they don't always do the films justice.
I have hopes for this. Pixar has a pretty good track record.

Anyone plan to see this? I hear good things about the movie but other people are saying it's one of Pixar's weakest film.

Although the animation and the music are very pretty, the script isn't what I've come to expect from Pixar. There's an utter lack of imagination, humor, or heart in this film.

Can't say the marketing is doing a lot to sell this movie, but I'll still rent the DVD and give it a shot when it comes out. Tangled wound up being better than the marketing made it look. Hopefully the same will happen here.

I enjoyed the movie. I don't recall much of Pixar movies, since I'm not as obsessive about them, so I can't compare them.

I do look forward to the fanfics that would come out from this, at least.

I just saw this today. It wasn't bad...the animation and music was beautiful. But I was so irritated that somehow the husband could not see the bear walking in the back of his hall while his daughter was giving the speech. And I was also never expecting to see bare asses in a Pixar film. I just couldnt help but compare this movie to Dreamwork's 'How To Train Your Dragon' and to me, 'Brave' didn't come close. But, of course, since it is the almighty Pixar, the undeniably biased Oscars will reward this film for the exact same things that 'How To Train Your Dragon' did far better.

I really don't see what the damn fuss is about "How to Train Your Dragon". It's visually impressive, but the conflict is still incredibly cliche. Wow, skinny, teenage main character is an outcast in his community and tries to prove himself. I saw the movie long after it was released and wondered why it never really lived up to all the extreme internet hype. Again, it was good visually, but the basics of the story definitely isn't something I hadn't seen before.

It has dragons (fire breathing reptiles) and is geared towards 5-18 year olds. Youre on a Godzilla (fire breathing reptile) message board where the majority of people here are 9-18.

Do the math.

I haven't seen Brave yet, but I've been concerned by the trailers that this movie would be a bit cruder than normal for a Pixar film. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but maybe that's what FlawedCoil was alluding to. How To Train Your Dragon felt less like Dreamworks film and more like a Pixar film - in a good way. Brave looks like it may be the reverse, but I doubt that will be a good thing.

I really liked that characters, mainly the father. I thought the humor was funny throughout the film, and I thought the plot was fairly original. The finale, IMO, was one of Pixar's best as well. The only think I didn't like too much was the music.

I just remembered being really annoyed at the proportions of the bears in this, that and the music like I said previously are my only gripes.

I saw it. Thought it was decent. Not nearly as good as some of Pixar's better films though (WALL-E or Up).
