I for one am glad to see the Daiei 30cm (hopefully). Been wanting large versions of the Showa Gamera kaiju. Plus Daimajin too. Then I can eventually dump all those crane toy figures for the X-plus stuff.

I agree. The best garage kits show what's possible in terms of sculpts and detail, and sometimes, they've made the transition to finished figures. X-Plus's Gorosaurus and Godzilla 1968 were both produced using the masters or the molds from Monster Maker 28's resin kits, and I think the Anguirus was, too.

I had half-expected the X-Plus Titanosaurus to be based on Resin Chef - Team Ukeke's, having heard a rumor that RC-TU sold X-Plus some of their sculpts. But I still really like X-Plus's original Big T sculpt.

What are your predictions Brad?! King Seesar in 25cm has got to be in the pipeline for sure...and the obligatory Kumonga and KG. Im one who actually hopes that KG is wayy in the future...I want it to be perfect and am enjoying the volume of items we are getting now. It should be the grand finale in my eyes, at least for the showa part of our line...

Also, can we shake up the poll?

Now I am still holding out hope for a MechaniKong, even in 25cm.

Oh and BTW, is there like zero excitmenet for the Daimajin announcement?! I think Im definately taking the plunge into the Daiei 30cm or Large Monster Series...could the second "G" man and his cohorts be on the way?! Cant believe we arent more amped about the possibilities!

I hear ya. Some of the garage kit sculpts are amazing. There's definitely one or two KGs I wouldn't mind if were ported over. PLEASE don't F-up KG X-Plus! *fingers crossed*

My prediction is we'll see a King Seesar but he'll be in the 30cm scale. I think Kumonga and KG will be 25cm because of the width regarding legs and KG's head height and wingspan. That will just leave a Gabara and Kamakiras from the G universe, which I hope they're do in the 30cm size. Well, I guess Kong and Mechanikong as well but I'm not hopeful on those. How crazy cool would THAT be if they could pull those off with the official names!?

I like Daimajin enough but I don't think I want to add it to my collection due to space and the money I'm spending on all the rest of the Godzilla figures. I am excited about the prospect of Gamera and his rogues gallery but hopefully we won't see any of them until next year. My pocket book needs a rest! lol

Oh! Regarding the poll... I can try revamping it but I think all of the votes will remain, so I'm not sure it'll work too well. The only way to do a new poll is to start a new thread I think, which I'd like to do starting next year and archive this one (like we did with the last thread). A new thread/poll started each year.

No way Kumonga and KG are 25cm. The ENTIRE DAM Lineup has been 30cm. No way these two wont be. King Seesar ill take either way...but I just think he wont be popular enough to warrent it. id be cool either way though. Gabara 30cm would be cool too. Kamakiras will probably be the same to match Kumonga...though the 25cm G67 might make for a better set...

I wish Ebirah had been in 30 cm scale.

I'm not even sure X-Plus's Ebirah was quite in scale with the other 23cm - 25cm monsters. Haven't watched Sea Monster in a while, but it seemed like he was larger than this, in comparison to Godzilla.

Let's hope I'm wrong and you're right! I prefer the 30cm line and would eventually like EVERYTHING to have a representation in that scale. :)

I like the X-Plus Ebirah, but the figure would have been MUCH better if it was posed rearing up a bit in a battle pose like in the movie.

Completely and totally agree with this! Hoping they make a 30cm with this in mind. Hey, one can hope! ;)

I have read several people mention Dai Majin in this thread. Did I miss something ? Is there a new toy coming out ?

Through X-Plus' blog, they've announced a new "line" with this as the teaser...

The prospect of Daimajin and Gamera related kaiju getting X-Plus figures is really cool, but I don't think I'll be buying any of them. I'm sticking with ONLY the Toho related items in the line.

I won't mind if KG is in either the 25cm or 30cm line - though for the former I'll be paying a bit less. I'm just hoping that it releases sometime towards the end of the year, so I can get it for Christmas! A King Seesar figure would be cool, but I think after Titanosaurus, I'm done for the time being with X-Plus. I wanna save up for the King of Terror himself!

At this point in time, I am mainly interested in a Gabara figure from either Xplus or *any* company in 25cm/8-9 inch scale....

Anyone know which company X-Plus bought the rights forGabara if they did so? Resin Chef maybe?
Daimos made a 24cm Gabara, but IMO it doesn't look as nice as the RC 30cm offering.

Has anybody bought the internet variant mothra? Did it come with batteries? When you take off the tail to get to the battery area do you have a hard time putting the tail back on?
