Well DC, you flunked. The animation is a slightly evolved S:TAS with late 90s early 2000s characters. The voice work was great but you forced in the 'hardcore' cursing (Damn!) DC was knock for in the 80s and 90s are cutting edge over Marvel. But the animation just killed it. And the plot is barely above a 2 parter for S:TAS. I was hoping it would be a tie into Young Justice ....sad. GL:TAS and now this. DC is having a shit year in animation
Personally: 2/5
Critically: 2/5

While it wasn't great. I liked it better than Allstar Superman. Also while DC did provide the lackluster titles you mentioned above, we still have Young Justice, and JL: Doom was pretty good as well.

o.supreme wrote:Sorry All-Star just seemd like a jumbled mess of different stories in 12 minuete intervals that never really went anywhere. You could have had the Opening and ending sequence (with the sun controlling computer thingy) all in one episode of S:TAS, and the randomness of the middle cut out. Also I know that animated movies cant be 100 % faithful to the source but Doomsday deviated too far. It seems in general Superman solo animated films haven't done well, which is sad considering he is one of my favorite comic book characters. I'm still dreaming of the 2+ hour animated epic which would be a fully fleshed out version of the Death/Return of Superman story arc, with Full Justice League & Reign of Supermen treatment. I will agree however that that character designs of Doomsday were MUCH MUCH better than the cartoony look of "Elite".

It really wasn't that bad, I don't get all the hate. It was truly a fun 'ride.'

Plot: A Russian sniper enters into a rivalry with a German sniper at the Battle for Stalingrad.
Review: Well, first of all, I love war epics; so this was right up my alley. But, I also love how it potrayed one of my favorite battles as an epic, hopeless struggle with much loss along the way. I think that all of the actors did decent jobs and that there wasn't anything terrible about the movie. Oh, and the scenes where the snipers are facing off are priceless. Also notable was the protagonist's entrance into Stalingrad and his first show of skills.
