Cancer is like a goddamn tick that latched onto my family (both sides) two generations back and won't let go. It's been hitting everyone once they hit their sixties or seventies. I just lost a great aunt to it a couple of weeks ago. Needless to say, the odds have me nervous.

Went to get Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows on Blu-Ray. Walmart has ZERO copies. They're matching Best Buy's price of $12.99.

They inform me a customer came in and bought 30 copies at $12.99 and then 19 are missing and they no longer use security devices.

My Xbox 360, which I've had since 2007, gave me the E73 error code. Some problem with the ethernet port or something, but basically I need to send it in to be repaired/replaced. And since my warranty ended back in November 2008, it'll cost $100.

This thing has been going strong for a long time. But now, I think it's time I started considering getting the slim model. I'd like to pay less and repair it, but part of me isnt sure it'll be worth it in the long run. How much longer can this thing keep going? What if they replace it with a shittier console that dies in a few months?

I'm not quite sure how to proceed, but as it stands, I'm gonna be without a 360 for some time.

Get the slim. It'll be fine. The connection is faster as well. It's a huge improvement over the model you have

My grandfather's not doing good, he has been in the hospital/nursing home for a while now and last night (around 11:30 PM) they called our house and our aunts because he was asking for his family to be there.

Last night, came home and the girlfriend and I were about to goto bed when we noticed the floor was wet.

The horrible storm we had 3 days ago had overrun my gutters and run down the shut awning into the window and flooded about 1/5th my room. Nothing was ruined, but the carpet, bed and my rabbit skins got wet. When I was examining my Eastern philosophy books, my girlfriend noticed a small carpenter ant nest. Pulling the books out we noticed they'd made a nest in my books and I had to remove ALL my books, move the bed and spray the next. Swept up the ants and put down towels.

This morning, two blankets and 8 towels later, it's still wet and I found more ants. Theyre running inside from the rain we've had everyday for 2 weeks. I spent the entire morning in my room taking care of the ants. Now I need to rent a carpet cleaner, scrub my head, reseal the wall, bug bomb and move my Godzilla vinyls back into storage...

Went to bed at 2a.

The ants hit my place every goddamn summer. I just started finding them in the kitchen, a few a day maybe. In another week, there'll be fifty running around. I don't know where they come through, so each year I just lay down a dozen ant traps when I see the first ones and then wait it out. Usually takes about a month to kill all the little suckers. All I can figure is that they get under the siding, climb up through the wall, and build a nest behind the kitchen counter.

I get the little bastards in my kitchen too. We have traps set up but I still see a lot on the counters. I drown the little suckers with clorox spray.
