I've seen on Amazon the entire 50th Anniversary Memorial Box set almost $1700 (seventeen thousand if you think their is a decimal point hiding in there somewhere). That's $350 a figure. I wouldn't pay over $35 for a single figure, and even then that makes me feel a bit ripped off.

I know this is beating a dead horse with a stick, but this what_a_day character from Singapore is a total scumbag:

Marmit MH Orga - $205.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-Marmit-Mai ... 516wt_1270

Marmit MH G2k 2011 version (which goes around 5000-6000 yen in Japan, is still a new figure, and still easy to find) - $198
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-Marmit-Mai ... 476wt_1270

2012 Marmit Mail Order Exclusive 1994 SPACE GODZILLA - $185 (wow, this figure is only a few months old, and according to what_a_day, its value has already tripled to $185...gee, there must be gold in SG's teeth).
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Marmit-Mai ... 930wt_1270

2008 Super Festival Limited Marmit '94 Glitter Godzilla (VS Space Godzilla)- $288.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-Super-Fest ... 203wt_1270

2010 Marmit Japan Super Festival Limited Millennium Godzilla - $320.00 (I have this *exact* same figure that I found roughly a year and a half ago for 7000 yen, and numerous collectors on here and CT have found this same figure recently in the $100 range).
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-Marmit-Jap ... 343wt_1270

It just keeps getting better with this tool:

Marmit (1992 Godzilla VS Battra) 12 inches long BATTRA LARVAE - $320.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marmit-1992-God ... 673wt_1270

2004 Marmit Godzilla Final Wars RODAN - $165 (got mine for 4000yen aka $45)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-Marmit-God ... 101wt_1270

2012 Japan Toy Festival Marmit Lottery 1995 Burning Godzilla Desu-Goji -$428
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Japan-Toy- ... 641wt_1270

2011 Super Festival Marmit Lottery GLITTER GOLD 1995 Godzilla Desu-Goji - $500
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-Super-Fest ... 486wt_1270

2007 Super Festival Marmit Exclusive Secret MELTDOWN DESU-GOJI Godzilla - $480
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-Super-Fest ... 586wt_1270

2006 Super Festival Marmit Limited 1995 DESU-GOJI Godzilla - $480
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-Super-Fest ... 057wt_1270

2009 Japan Treasure Festival Exclusive Marmit Limited Glitter GMK Godzilla -$300
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-Japan-Trea ... 008wt_1270

There are many more that I could list here, but at the risk of getting Carpal tunnel syndrome, I'll let you folks go see for yourselves. Bottomline, he's a piece of sh*t...

It's most frustrating because I'd love to buy some of his stuff if it were more reasonably priced. I'd probably get his Biollante... if he'd knock $100 or so off his asking price. And that blue glittery G2k is still on my wish list, but not at THAT price. Jesus.

Actually, he's had the same items listed for well over the year now...but he refuses to lower his prices...in fact, he's increased his prices in many cases. I guess he assumes if he keeps listing/re-listing, then sooner or later some sucker will bite.

As a Singaporean I believe most local sellers overprice the crud outta stylized figures, M1 or Marmit anyway.

seriously? $15 for ONE 3 inch tall non articulated toy godzilla? I got a box of 9 TM 3 inch figures for $30. That's about $4 per figure.

I agree with this. Some of those are just stupid.

While I do enjoy them a whole lot, I think I paid a little bit too much for my Y-MSF Megalon and Kumonga. I think it was about $64 overall, while I think the air should be about $55 at max.

...wait did you just compare TM (Trendmasters) to Bandai gashapons? Because Bandai gashapons, unlike TM figures were available in vending machines and were only available for short amounts of time. That TM shit littered clearance shelves for mooooonths.

You're absolutely correct, Wataru, but that wasn't his point. His point was about the price.

Im sorry, but it's still wrong.

TM figures were mass produced for a US release and were readily available for a large amount of time.

Bandai Gashapons were produced for vending machines for very short amounts of time. If you have a Bandai distribution license (which alone is over $5000) you could MAYBE import a few complete runs (which ran for $30+ retail for 5-6 figures).

Gashapons werent made for here in the US. Theyre going to cost more because there arent as many, and you have to import them through smaller distributors.

And not a single gashapon sized TM toy looks anywhere as good as the Bandai Gashapons.

$46 marked down from $60 is STILL a rip-off. Some convince me I am wrong.

I dont think theyre $10+ each in Japan. But to import them, you're going to eat it because the import/wholesaler is going to jack up the price, and then the retailer is going to jack it up.

You're not, but why complain about a product you'll never buy anyway? And why does anyone need to convince you you're wrong? Who's opposing you in that regard? Oh right, no one.

Like seriously, has ANYONE bought the octopus and sea snakes? Anyone at all?

If you want to harp on Y-MSF, then do it. But dont create this false idea that all Y-MSF fans want to buy sea snake figures for $50.

I admit, I would kind of like to own those sea snakes; they would be a good "minor kaiju" to back up my collection.

...But I doubt they're worth any more than $10 for the both of them.

Well I'm just going to go ahead and say this, Tempting Toys has the Y-MSF Megalon for $70. I was originally going to buy it there, then a bid on Ebay for $30 popped up. I'm happy with the $30 spent, but really, that's how much it should cost. It feels hollow and weak, $70 is just too much.
