Nice.
A huge advantage is also that this will be the only game in the kaiju genre. No one else in the world is producing a kaiju game. So you have no competitors out there.
But the fanbase needs to help. Everyone needs to spread "Kaiju Combat" wherever he can. There are tons of social networks in the internet.
Lets use them!

In short, if I'm able to convince Toho that something was implied - I've been able to get it approved. Titanosaurus's beam, for example, was implied. Gigan's teleport was implied. Megalon's burrowing was implied. And Anguirus roared plenty in the movies. Godzilla even shot short exploding things from his mouth which we didn't exactly see - I made the case that they were fireballs.


Interesting. Do you have exact instances you are basing the implied teleport/beams on? And there's no way it was ever implied that Anguirus leaped into the air and fired a bunch of lasers from his spines,how'd ya pull that one off?

(BTW I'm not trying to bust your chops here, I'm genuinely curious and fascinated by things like this)

Simply for the nostalgia, middle aged adults and others may see the fact that monsters in video games from their childhood (and they probably don't know about Total Destruction), get excited and donate.

I wouldn't want them as playable characters, but I would like to see them as an easter egg.

Let's say, your fighting in New York for example and after about 4 minutes of fighting, a gorilla, wolf and dinosaur climb on to one of the buildings and crawl on it for about 30 seconds.

They were simply creative liberties taken with the characters. They were fighting games, and the monsters needed moves...so the team at Pipeworks came up with some.

As for Varan's Beam guys, he was supposed to have it in GAV before he was cut

Kind of figured that was bs. No offense. I'm pretty sure I've read all there is to read (in the English language) about what GAV was supposed to be, and I had never heard such a thing.

Also if you don't know what I am talking about, he said he can only put powers in that were implied or had directly appeared in a film, even though these powers still appeared in the Games

I think it was kind of the way you asked the questions....if he chooses to answer them, he's really doing us a favor, so it wouldn't hurt phrasing it a bit more politely rather than "explain this to me, and this and this and this". I'm wondering the same things you are....but, its all in the approach, ya know? Just my two cents.

People have to keep in mind that Mr. Strange has no obligation whatsoever to answer any of our questions just because we asked him. He doesnt have to tell us anything, especially when faced with such "riveting" questions like "how come this character can do this special move." It's a skreeonk' video game; just roll with it.

I don't know if it really counts as a kaiju game. But the upcoming game "tanks tanks tanks" has the player battling against each other as well as kaiju and mechs, and other things in that genre using tanks and maser-like weapons.

The Photon Storm is an overloading of MOGUERA's power source. His power source was different from the energy Space Godzilla used (which I named "Alien Energy") - but it has similar effects. I wanted MOGUERA to use "terrestrial energy" - which means it has its root in our sun. Therefore an overload of energy from his power core would be similar to a surge of solar energy - a photon storm.

He just sticks his arms out and spins around. Nobody every thought this was a new attack.

And Explain to me where Jet Jaguar's Tornado came from


Jet Jaguar "reprograms" himself to change size in his film. I ran with that, and gave him 3 different fighting sizes. To conserve energy, he moves faster when he is smaller - he doesn't often do that, because his reaction times are not good enough to move at full speed in crowded environments. But by spinning around (to create a tornado) he can make use of his extra energy and speed without any navigational issues. This was inspired by Marvel's Whirlwind (who had the same reaction-time issue) and a 3-monster combo attack some fans did in the ARena, back in G:DAMM days.
