Really I didn't think that one movie could accumulate so much skreeonkin hate. I mean come on... it wasn't a bad movie. As for the suit design, the suit from Godzilla vs Megalon looked like a dog mixed with a dead dinosaur and looked like a freakin toy

Except the design for the '73 suit had a specific design philosophy motivating it which resulted in that look. The suit itself is still solidly and competently constructed and that can't be disputed. The GRA suit sucks because it's just a shitty, poorly made suit. It doesn't fit properly, the arms don't even look like they work and the head is an absolute mess.

I dunno. The people who hate GFW hate it more than the people who hate GRA, but I think there are far more people who enjoy/tolerate GFW than enjoy/tolerate GRA.

Honestly, I don't really dislike this film, sure the American cut is badly dubbed/ edited but the Japanese cut is far better but still not great; it's one of those sequels that's not the best or the worse, kind of like King Kong vs Godzilla for me.

I reeeeaaaaalllly doubt that.

My guess is that you just hear more about GFW (good or bad) because it's a newer film, was much more important in the grand scheme of the Godzilla series, was a much bigger disaster than GRA could ever hope to be and is a much more polarizing film.

Godzilla Raids Again isn't terrific, but comparing it to GFW blows my mind.

That's exactly what I was saying. There's not a lot of "meh" about GFW; people tend to like it or hate it. GRA has a lot of "meh" about it; most people agree that it's a generally lackluster film.

I wouldn't mind seeing someone deconstruct the design and figure out what it might have looked like had it not been a slapped together shoddy mess.

Isn't it like a slimmer version of the '54 suit? I think that's what they were going for?

But the face and head is almost completely different; enough so that it looks like they might have been going for something specific.

I hate it because it's boring, besides the Battle between Godzilla and Anguirus, the film has nothing to offer, even that battle is not much compared to the later Showa Battles

I don't hate it, its sorta boring but it started the VS. formula, you gotta give him credit for that.
