I'm pretty damn pumped, I'm not gonna lie.

Definitely seeing this opening weekend.

Only movie I'm actually excited for at this point other than Expendables 2.

Toys have made their way to the shelves.

Theyre TDK repaints. Nothing new in the 4'' line. No Cat-Batgirl-womans or Banes.

Very psyched my self. It is THE movie I have been waiting to see in 2012, more than The Avengers (#2). I will have to watch Batman Begins and The Dark Knight each the two nights before I see this movie.

I'm excited about this, but I think it sounds like a good film, but I'm not so sure it'll be a good closer for the series. I don't think it'll beat out TDK.

Anyone catch the sneak peak on the MTV Movie Awards? Sounds like they finally have Bane's voice down.

Nolan's comments that this film will be "the biggest epic since the silent era" honestly strike of pretension and to be honest really piss me off. I'm excited for the movie, but holy crap is that a bold phrase to say. I half hope this film crashes just to laugh in the guys face.

I don't get annoyed by comments like that, although yes that is quite pretentious. What concerns me is that he's going to contribute to a preposterous amount of hype that this or any movie wouldn't be able to live up to.

Holy crap, Nolan is en route to becoming another George Lucas. This is why he needs critics- so people will keep him from getting full of it.

Exactly. But then again people will overlook his egotism due to the quality of his films & how "great" they are

I personally think he's made some great films(I know you disagree, but that's perfectly fine), but George Lucas also made one of the greatest films in history with the Star Wars series-the original trilogy, mind you. Nolan has made some good films, but he could be easily on his way to becoming a man who constantly surrounds himself with noddy "yes-men".

Was he talking about the Batfilms or films in general? This might be stetching it by maybe he was just talking about the amount of pre-CGI effects used in a film. He loves Bladerunner and that came from Metropolis and so on.

A theater close by will by showing all three Nolan-Batman films on the 19th. I can only hope I get that night off. Don't make me use my sick time!

I'm not looking forward to this. I see absolutely no way this can live up to expectation or beat it's predecessor, especially keeping in mind the main thing that made TDK successful with the general audience was THE JOKER.
