I thought he started attacking the Titans after his oldest son, Grant, was killed? Grant was an assasin hired to kill the Titans, but he was killed by his employers after he failed. Or something along those lines. Jericho came along later.

I've been out of the loop for a while, though; maybe some of this was retconned recently.

Eh that was all business. He went a bit bat-shit insane over Jericho. I think it was retconned out though (the Grant stuff) but Im not 100% sure. COIE skreeonk up so much shit and never bothered to explain what stayed and went.

Ok so I made the mistake of watching the first episode of the new series Teen Titans Go. One thing I can say- it was Exactly how I thought it would be- AWFUL. Even the target audiance that loved TT a decade ago are 10 years older now, I have no idea who this is supposed to appeal to. I can't believe CN commited to 26 episodes of this garbage. The HUB needs to create a spin-off network totaly dedicated to animation as it would thoroughly destroy CN in terms of quality animated series.

It's too bad it wouldn't destroy CN in terms of ratings.

I didn't like the premiere, either. It got a few chuckles out of me, and Raven as a closet pegasister was kinda awesome, but it took some effort to sit through the whole thing. If this is average quality, I don't plan on watching long.

That said, this was only the premiere. First episodes of most cartoons have a tendancy to be lackluster. For example, look at the first few episodes of the '03 TT show. Divide and Conquer and Final Exam are mindless eye-candy with mostly godawful dialogue, and the show improved by miles from there. Hopefully the same will happen with TTG.

Why? Why couldn't they just continue the original series with updated visuals, instead of turning the Teen Titans into a full sitcom?! There were so many loose ends and story arcs that needed to be realized, and so many new ones that could have been created. Red X my favorite character definetly needed another episode or two, and not be reverted to being in the background.

And they canceled Green Lantern and Young Justice for that?

And BTW:I always thought the comic was better than the anime-wannabe.

No. Teen Titans Go! was developed into a more comedic show than the original because they didn't want to have two "serious" shows about teenage crimefighters at once. GL and YJ were canceled because Cartoon Network legitimately doesn't give a shit about their programming quality, and value merchandising over all else.

It's kinda similar to how Transformers Animated was cut short- Hasbro thought that having both the Animated toyline and the Revenge of the Fallen toyline running concurrently would be bad for sales. Of course, Hasbro is a toy company, not a television network, so they actually have a good reason.

So I watched the first episode of TTG.

I loved the MLP reference at the beginning. Then it nose-dived faster than a North Korean ICBM.

I saw TTG too but it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Some things made me laugh! But the original is way better in action AND comedy. I miss the original show...

AM I the only one here who actually liked the first episode? I mean, yes it's not the cartoon we all grew up and loved... but its it's own thing. For what it is, it's pretty dang good, and quite funny as well. Beast Boy talking in animal form though... ugh.

To be fair, he's always done that in the comics. It is pretty weird to see, though.

The talking part is just weird to me, I liked that in the original cartoon Beast Boy still had a ton of personality in his various animal forms through his eyes and body language. He didn't have to resort to just merely talking.

I liked it. It was pretty darn funny! The only reason why someone would hate it is because they dont like the way they made the Teen Titans look. But im a fan of the original show and I still think the new one is pretty darn funny.

Let's all pray the TTG! merchandise flops so the show can be canceled.

I thought the original show was decent. THIS however is pure Garbage.

Who will most definitely NOT be on this show since his character had nothing to do with comedy

I caught the first episode when it aired today on DC Nation, I actually found it to be decently enjoyable. I actually liked it, its nothing great or awesome.
But its decently good, I actually chuckled at several jokes and laughed at one or two moments.
