It's funny how Showa Gigan IS a cyborg but doesn't look like one while Megalon is NOT a cyborg but looks like one.

Arge M. Night has been announced to work on LPG. Joking but that would be a twist.

Showa never looked like a cyborg to me save for the eye and buzz saw. His claws look boney and organic.

I don't know what you guys are talking about.

Everyone knows that Gigan is a giant black space chicken.

Wow! That was sure illuminating, Thanks!
As for Gigan being a cyborg, I always figured the monoptical visor as a giveaway, since it looked inorganic while surrounded by the seemingly organic "skin" around the head. I also thought that the laterall mantibles and the absence of fingers and toes on the limbs kind of made Gigan look like a bug-dinosaur hybrid. Can anyone explain why they refer to Megalon as an alien in Unleashed? I'm thinking it is merely referring to its allegience to the alien forces.

So Megalon is a lot closer to what Godzilla was viewed as in the original film, a quasi mythological godlike being. On some levels that makes him cooler than just being a large cybernetic bug.
He's practically a bug-zilla, lol.

Yeah that's it. Promotional material reinforced that he's Seatopian but pointed out the Seatopians are allied with the Vortaak.

Megalon came to this planet from another can't remember the name, he looks like what he is because of magnetic waves forced changes in him.

Shadow quoted him without tags I think.

But really, GU didn't explain much to Megalon's story. The Seatopians and Vortaak are buddies so they lent out their monster. It's not more complex than how in the film the Seatopians rented out Gigan like a cheap whore.

Once upon a time, Space Godzilla went overboard with crystal creating and ended up causing the apocalypse. Some monsters wanted to destroy these crystals, some wanted to use them fore power. In the meantime, the aliens have launched another invasion to earth. That's about it, really.

And Obsidius and Krystalak are created from said mistake but the didn't properly explain that in game.

And yes, the Gotengo is in.

Guy in charge of the Gotengo hates monsters and the crystals eventually drive him over the edge as he ignores all commands to return to base and be relived of his captain duties. In short his quest to kill all monsters gets him and the crew killed.
