Re: HayesAJones (Titanosaurus) vs Gorosaurus Rex (Zedus)

It was business as usual in downtown New Orleans. Traffic was heavily congested. The smell of sea food drifted lazily into the air. The sound of jazz poured out of open windows. Tourists crowded the street and locals happily sold them souvenirs. It was difficult to find a quiet spot, away from the angry honking, streets musicians, and fanatic yelling. And snaking its way right in the middle of the commotion was the Mighty Mississippi. Quietly lapping, the dirty water slowly made it's way towards the Gulf of Mexico.

And something equally as mighty was making its way up the river.

Hundreds of voices stopped at once, cut off mid-sentence. Thousands of eyes turned towards the Mississippi River. The water near the Crescent City Connection was churning violently. Flashes of green skin and dark red, pebbled scales could be seen through the filthy, brow water. A fanned tail swept a massive amount of sediment from the riverbed, almost turning the water black. Then the river erupted.

WHOOSH!

As gravity returned countless gallons of water back to the river, a massive creature was revealed. Hundreds of muted voices exploded into screaming. Saurian in form, the best was a towering pillar of flesh and bone. Red scales dotted dark green, pebbled skin. A long, muscular neck held up a small, elongated head, topped with a finned crest. The same bright orange finning ran down the leviathan's back. Feral, slitted eyes stared out from their perch high above sea level. Dozens of small, sharp teeth filled the monster's strong jaws. Two short, sturdy arms were held against the giant's side. It was Titanosaurus, the aquatic dinosaur discovered and named by Doctor Shinji Mafune. A warbling roar escaped from the marine behemoth's parted jaws, totally drowning out the cries of the panicked masses. A dark, slimy residue coated the monster's body. It had entered the Gulf of Mexico in search of new territory. As he swam, Titanosaurus found that a disgusting liquid plagued the warm waters. Seeking escape from the oil slick, the huge marine reptile had swum up the Mississippi River. After finding himself sufficiently far away from the foul oil, Titanosaurus decided to surface and explore his temporary sanctuary.

The reptilian juggernaut began to wade upriver, smashing straight through the Crescent City Connection with a horrible squealing of twisting metal. Snorting, the underwater dinosaur turned to face the man-made levees that kept the river from overflowing its banks. A broad sweep of his fanned tail propelled Titanosaurus into the air. With a hefty whumph, the sea-dwelling leviathan landed square in the middle of the Riverwalk Marketplace. Debris and people alike were thrown into the air by the impact. Indifferent to the human suffering and destruction he caused, Titanosaurus marched on. Crushing fleeing men, women, and children, cars, and buildings underfoot, the amphibious dinosaur stomped towards the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. Just before the monstrous reptile leveled the renowned wildlife facility, Titanosaurus stopped. Turning towards the river suspiciously, the gargantuan beast gave the hot summer air a wary sniff. The great therapod growled softly.

There was another giant here and Titanosaurus wasn't about to share this place...

Zedus rose out of the oil covered water and shook himself. He had swam through the muck and stench for days and still had not found himself the food he desired. It had been over a month since oil had stopped spilling into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, but still prey was hard to find. Zedus had come to regret his decision to migrate the Atlantic. However, the Pacific had become crowded. He had spent the last year fighting for his life only surviving by fighting spirit and pure luck.

Regardless, Zedus had grown sick of searching the depths of the Gulf for food that had obviously left months ago. It was time to feast upon humanity once more. A city rose in the distance, smaller then the metropolises he normally turned towards for sustinance, but it would do. The ground felt uneven, each foot step sunk deep into the damp soil. Despite this, Zedus soon managed to chase down a small bus, and chomped down hard on its metal exterior. Swallowing several screaming humans whole, Zedus began his feast.

However, something was wrong in the air. Blood had already been spilt, and the mammoth reptile could already hear the screams of dying humans. Someone else had found this place. Swallowing down of the rest of the busgoers, Zedus lifted his head high into the air and sniffed. He picked up the familiar scent of another monster in the air. How this beast had escaped his detection earlier was a mystery, but he guessed it had been from the oil that still clogged much of his nasal cavity. Zedus's eyes patrolled the New Orleans skyline before resting upon the hulking form of an orange theropod. This beast would steal his feast. Zedus had had enough of these creatures. He simply could not escape them. A deep primal anger burned deep beneath him. Blood and death would soon soak the water and pavement of New Orleans. Zedus roared in challenge, and charged forward.

As Zedus rushed at him, Titanosaurus quickly responded. Whipping around, the therapod's fanned tail swung out and struck Zedus's face with a enormous slap! The stinging blow sent the great lizard stumbled back, an angry hiss rising in his chest. As Titanosaurus spun back round, he held out one leg and tripped Zedus, sweeping his legs out from under him. Titanosaurus swiftly followed this up by slamming his fist down on Zedus back as he fell, slamming the dinosaurian best into the ground. The agile beast crashed into the ground with a angry howl.

Titanosaurus snorted in satisfaction.

Barring his sharp teeth in a crocodilian smile, the aquatic therapod reared up, rising one foot high into the air. Then, trumpeting, he brought it smashing down on Zedus's spine, most of his great mass behind it. The lithe reptile wheezed in pain, hacking up crimson globules of blood, and went limp. Taking a step back, Titanosaurus examined his work. The corner of his mouth curled into a small grin. That grin soon became a scowl as Zedus began to squirm. That wouldn't do. Leaning down, Titanosaurus sunk his claws into the back of the saurian predator's neck and the base of his sinuous tail. Muscles bunching in effort, the towering amphibian heaved Zedus into the air. The reptilian giant's thrashing form sailed into the air with an outraged squeal, heading straight for the sharp, twisted remains of the Crescent City Connection...

Zedus's muscled were bunched and would not move. Blood seeped from his nostrils and the numerous lascerations that covered his form. Titanosaurus had gotten the upper hand earlier. Served him right for being so reckless. With the shattered form of the former New Oreleans landmark growing closer and closer and his body still refusing to move properly, hopes for the future seemed bleak. With incredible effort, Zedus managed twist his body so that his spiked and armored back was the first and only part of his body to hit the wreckage. Letting out a primordial scream, the dinosaur collided hard with the shards of metal. His eyes rolled back in his head, and temporarily the beast blacked out. When he came to, Zedus could see the cackling form of Titanosaurus in the distance. The beast would pay for this insult.

Zedus reached out with both of his clawed hands and grabbed hold of a metal from the shattered bridge. Slowly, the enraged saurian rose to his feet. Giving his body a shake, Zedus stood at his full height, extended his frill, and let out a titanic roar of challenge. The massive beast crouched down and pushed off the sea covered ground and launched into the air.

Titanosaurus could only stare in stunned silence as its ravenous enemy came crashing towards it. Zedus swung with the beam held in his right hand, catching he cackling dinosaur across his head, sending teeth and blood spiraling onto the concrete. As Titanosaurus stumbled backwards, Zedus stabbed forwards with his left beam, puncturing into Titanosaurus rib cage. The enraged reptile gave his makeshift blade a twist, , and pulled it from his enemies chest. Bits of shredded muscle and blood splattered out of the hole in Titanosaurus's chest like a geyser. The beast dropped to his knees, clutching at his wound like a dying soldier.

Zedus let a roar of bloodlust and lunged forward. The massive dinosaur wrapped his hooked shaped teeth around his opponents head and clamped down. Titanosaurus screamed as he felt his opponents jaws crunch. Skin tore, and blood poured out and flooded his nostrils. With an almost lazy flick, Zedus hurled Titanosaurus into the air. The bloody beast toppled through New Orleans sky before crashing into one of the nearby apartment complexes sending cement and concrete collapsing around him.

Zedus howled in triumph. The battle was once again in his hands. As Titanosaurus struggled to rise from the numerous blows dealt him by his opponent, Zedus swung his massive tail about shattering several nearby buildings and sending debree crashing towards his opponent.

Re: HayesAJones (Titanosaurus) vs Gorosaurus Rex (Zedus)

Titanosaurus rose his arms defensively as the barrage of makeshift missile struck home. The shower of debris peppered his body, bruising and tearing his skin open. The great therapod gritted his teeth in pain, but compared to Zedus's previous assault, this was nothing. Blood still leaking from his mouth and nose, Titanosaurus stumbled to his feet, agony pulsating from his head and the horrific hole in his abdomen. Regaining his some of his strength, the sea monster examined his foe with narrowed golden orbs. This beast was fast and agile. What' more, it was also smart and resourceful. The saurian predator was a dangerous, but Titanosaurus was sure that with his pure brute strength and a little tactic, he could beat it. But first, he needed to even the odds.

Confidence flaring in his cat-like eyes, Titanosaurus threw back his head in a mighty warped trumpet then charged, his thunderous footfall felt by the whole of New Orleans. Zedus tensed at the aquatic behemoth closed in. But before the lithe beast could move, Titanosaurus swiftly ducked down and swiped his claws at the corner of a building. The human structure shattered under the blow and fragments of concrete and shards of glass were thrown into Zedus's face, causing him to flinch, eyes snapping shut in a protective reflex. The ravenous reptile opened his feral eyes, just managing to catch Titanosaurus's massive girth smash into him. Zedus soared through the air with a howl. Tumbled through the searing summer sky, his flight came to an abrupt end when he splashed down into the Mississippi River with a sound that was somewhere between a splash and a crack, his cry rising into a yelp. Titanosaurus grinned, flashing his needle-like teeth. With it comes to beast as big as he and Zedus, surface tension could be a pain in the ass.

Giving a warbling war cry, Titanosaurus jumped into the muddy water just as Zedus broke its surface, hissing and snarling in outrage. While his lighter adversary had a definite edge in speed on land, Titanosaurus's finned tail and sleek skin made a more aquatic field of play a different story. With a snort, the undersea relic rushed Zedus, his powerful tail propelling him and his body easily cutting through the water. Titanosaurus tackled Zedus with a great whoosh of water, crushing him against the opposite bank. Lip curled, the amphibious dinosaur slammed Zedus's into the ground, grinding it along the riverbank. The bloodthirsty creature coughed up a mix of blood and dirt. Content, Titanosaurus pushed off of Zedus, who immediately went limp, and waded towards the mangled Crescent City Connect. Tearing a large lump of twisted metal from its broken frame, the oceanic leviathan turned with a vicious wail and hurled it at a recovering Zedus...

Zedus was dazed and water no clogged his ears and nostrils. His forehead throbbed, and he could feel blood pooling below him. This beast was a dangerous one, one that could not be taken down with the usual ease. Both were equally matched, each having their own weaknesses and advantages.

Just as Zedus's head rose form the water, his weakened eyes caught sight of the mass of concrete that was now hurtling towards him. Zedus made an effort to dive beneath the river to shield himself from the attack, but only suceeded in a half dive before the ball of steel collided with him. The collision sent the massive saurian spiraling through the river. It was roughly thirty seconds before Zedus came to eventual steady float.

Eventually, conciousness returned to the beast's now groggy mind. With a start he rose out of the now blood soaked river. The cackling form of Titanosaurus stood in the distance, and a deep seething anger boiled within. This beast had not only harmed Zedus, but had humiliated him. It would surely pay.

With a roar, Zedus leaped out of the river and landed within the streets of New Orleans. Dozens of alarms broke out, as Zedus began his powerful run towards his foe. Primal anger visible in his eyes, Zedus extended his massive frill and howled in fury. This powerful blast of challenge entered Titanosaurus's delicate ears with surprising fury, and the undersea theropod reached towards its head in pain. Unfortunatley, by the time it regained control Zedus was upon it.

With a swing of his massive spiked tail, Zedus struck Titanosaurus across the chest. Spikes slashed deeply into the orange beasts already dameged pectoral muscles shredding veins and spewing blood across the floor. The force of the impact sent the cackling dinosaur spiraling backwards and back into the city. Already stunned and hurting from the massive gash now torn in his chest, Titanosaurus could do nothing as he skid across the hard concrete of New Orleans. Skin pealed off, left open muscle and tissue in its place.

However, the vengeful predator was not done. Zedus jumped forward and fired its massive tongue into Titanosaurus's massive neck. Luckily for the orange theropod, Zedus's organic projectile narrowly missed his jugular, but instead lodged deeply in between his vertebrate. With a jerk of his head, Zedus whipped Titanosaurus into the air and sent him sailing through the skyline. Screaming in pain, the aquatic beast crashed through three strait apartment complexes before Zedus's tongue ripped free leaving a massive gash in its place. Glass and concrete lay embeded in Titanosaurus's face as he spiraled across the city, before crashing into a particurlarly large office building.

Zedus roared triumphantly as several tons of the man made structure came collapsing down on his foe. The battle was once again his. Now to finish the job. With a quick glance, Zedus found one of his makeshift weapons from earlier and grasped it in his right hand. With a powerful leap, Zedus jumped into the air hoping to stab his opponent through the gut.

As Zedus sailed through the air, graceful as any bird, Titanosaurus exploded from the rubble of the office building with a furious bellow. The aquatic therapod moved faster than seemed possible, claws grabbing the lizard-like being's metal shrapnel just as it touched his stomach, stopping it in an instant. Unfortunately for Zedus, he didn't. The predatory giant was skewered on his own weapon, the sharp length of steel spearing itself into his chest. The reptile threw his head back in a howl of pain, spraying blood into the air.

But Titanosaurus wasn't done yet.

Trumpeting, the amphibious behemoth swung the length of metal- and Zedus with it- around, anger flashing in his slitted eyes. Zedus yelped as he smashed into a large bank building, glass exploding in the air and embedding itself into his thick hide. Snorting in satisfaction, Titanosaurus swung Zedus in the opposite direction. The jagged length of metal slipped carnivorous beast's chest, sending Zedus soaring across the New Orleans skyline with a screech. A few moments later, he crashed down into an apartment complex, his pained cry barely rising above the crumbling of concrete and the squeal of twisting metal. To make matters worse, the resulting wave of debris damaged the base of several surrounding buildings. One skyscraper that was hit particularity hard began to topple with a groan. Zedus's eyes opened only to find the structure overwhelming him.

BOOM!

Titanosaurus allowed himself a small grin, a soft, happy chirping bouncing up and down in his throat. With Zedus temporarily immobile, the oceanic dinosaur took the chance to examine his injuries. There was a gaping hole in his neck, blood steadily dripping from it. It was soon stop. His circulatory system was quite advanced, quickly cutting off blood flow to injured areas. He could even survive loosing limbs because of this feature... not to say that he actually wanted to test that out though. Pain pulsated from his face due to the glass buried in. The area was beginning to swell, making it impossible to even try and pull the glass free. The metal shrapnel had barely pierced his gut, leaving only a trickle of blood running down his abdomen. Overall he was bloodied and battered, but still able to continue the battle.

Titanosaurus's keen eyes spied Zedus slowly rising from the rumble. The undersea therapod's eyes flashed dangerously. Speaking of the battle...

With a warbling roar, Titanosaurus charged. As Zedus turned to face him, the fish-like dinosaur slammed his fist into the side of his skull, whipping the lizard's head to the side violently. As Zedus began to fall, Titanosaurus caught his head, claws sinking into a scaly scalp. Yanking Zedus back upright, Titanosaurus bit down into his shoulder, blood welling up to meet his sharp teeth. Eyes hard, the finned reptile gave his head a savage shake, shredding Zedus's flesh. A scream of agony reached his ears. Mighty trumpet muffled by raw, bloody flesh, Titanosaurus spun round, Zedus's limp body swinging free from the ground. Then the orange beast released his grip, cry becoming clear as Zedus flew through the air. Striking the ground with a grunt, the dinosaurian creature slowly ground to a halt.

Titanosaurus snorted and gave himself a quick shake. His tail fanned out. Turning his back to Zedus, leaned down and began waving him tail in a broad, frantic arc. The powerful motion kicked up hurricane-force winds, lifting the shrapnel and debris of the devastated city into the air. The whirlwind of glass, metal, and cement roared towards Zedus...

Re: HayesAJones (Titanosaurus) vs Gorosaurus Rex (Zedus)

Postby Gorosaurus Rex » Sat Sep 25, 2010 9:47 am

(I have a week to reply at most dude. Its in the rules. Take a look. Between school and other commitments I was unable to do much of anything this week.)

Zedus's eyes wavered open just in time to see the wave of debris crashing towards hm. Despite the wringing in his ears, and the ache in his joints. Zedus curled his massive tail around and, huddled down. The winds hit the predator hard, but using his powerful claws and weight to his advantage, he was able to prevent himself from being knocked off his feet. Several tons of glass and debris crashed into Zedus's hard hide. Some bounced off harmlessly, others embedded themselves deeply into the gaps between Zedus's scaled hide. When the barrage had ceased, Zedus unfurled himself and rose to his full height.

Titanosaurus would pay, the gaping hole in his stomach still burnt with red hot intensity. This beast had humiliated him for the last time. Roaring a challenge to his foe, Zedus fired his projectile tongue from his mouth. Before Titanosaurus could react, the spear like organ had punctured through his right shin. Barely missing bone, the hostile tissue broke clean through Titanosaurus's leg leaving an open gash on both sides. The aquatic saurian desparatley tried to remove the tongue that was now thoroughly embeded in his leg. However, before Titanosaurus could get an adequite grip on the enemies projectile, Zedus quickly retracted his tongue sending his opponent hurtling towards him.

Acting quickly, Zedus caught the airborne form of his opponent with a whip from his spiked tail, slashing a deep gash in the beasts midriff, and slammed him hard into the pavement. Titanosaurus's crashed into the cracked pavement hard and heard a sickening snap as the bone and cartiledge in his nostril snapped. Blood pooled in his mouth and nostrils, clogging his air pathways.

As the beast struggled to rise from the soaked pavement, Zedus slammed his massive, clawed foot down forcing the creatures already injured skull back into the hard gravel. However, Zedus was not finished. Fueled by hatred and blood lust, Zedus roared and snapped his hooked teeth around the beasts weakened skull. Teeth punctured into the beasts eyelids, and shredded what remained of his antennae and fins. However, the enraged saurian was far from finished. Clamping down hard, Zedus forced Titanosaurus's face hard into the ground and began to run. Scraping away layers of skin and tissue, the weakened seas beast could only gasp as open tissue was exposed and hard gravel scraped up against open muscle.

Finally, after leaving a fine trail of blood behind him. Zedus rose from his bleeding foe, and released his jaw. Titanosaurus flopped to the ground like a dead fish, but continued to let out deep wounded breaths. Ready to end this battle, Zedus raised his foot hoping to crush Titanosaurus's skull.

As Zedus pushed his clawed foot downwards, a saurian hands shot up and caught it. Squeezing the lizard-like beast's ankle so hard blood welled up between his fingers, Titanosaurus yanked the foot high into the air, toppling Zedus. As the giant reptile crashed to the ground, Titanosaurus rose to his feet, swapping their positions. The helpless had become the attacker and the attacker had become the helpless. The aquatic dinosaur growled. A red veil clouded Titanosaurus's vision. He didn't know whether it was from the blood dripping down his forehead or simply pure rage, but he did know one thing.

Zedus was going to pay dearly.

Screeching a warbling battle cry, Titanosaurus placed his foot on the back of Zedus's skull, holding it in place. Leaning down, the marine juggernaut grabbed the frill ringing his predatory foe's neck in two great handfuls. Then Titanosaurus jerked up, pressing Zedus's head against the ground for leverage. With a wet rip, the ravenous carnivore's frill was ripped off with a muffled wail of pain. Stuffing both shredded pieces of the frill to a single hand, Titanosaurus strode to stand in front of Zedus. Stepping down on the beast's bottom jaw, the amphibious leviathan grabbed the top with his free hand, wrenching Zedus's mouth open. Titanosaurus then proceeded to shove the lithe creature's frill down his throat, claws opening long gashed in Zedus's gullet. The sea-dwelling beast then removed his foot from the other reptile's bottom jaw and threw his limp head down spitefully.

As Zedus struggled to hack out his own ornament, Titanosaurus took the time to clear the blood in his throat and nose with several large, painful heaves. Airways now sore but open, the undersea dinosaur turned his attention back to Zedus, who had manged to cough out his frill, along with a large pool of blood.

Grabbing Zedus's wriggling tail, Titanosaurus swung the enormous reptile from the ground, bringing him clear over his head. With the dull sound of clashing and grinding bones, Zedus slammed down into the debris-covered ground with a gurgle, loosing a good number of his scales in the process and the hot New Orleans sidewalk grinding his body raw. Angling his body in the opposite direction, Titanosaurus repeated the action, reantiquating Zedus with the spot he had laid only moments before. The reunion was not a happy one, Zedus splintering several teeth in the violent impact. With a groan, the once proud predator's head slumped to the side. Releasing the limp creature's tail, Titanosaurus threw his head back with a mighty trumpet. Two pools of blood were at his side, Zedus soaking pitifully in one.

Stomping forward, Titanosaurus kicked Zedus onto his spiked back, the great lizard's body turning over with little protest. Cat eyes glittering with malice, the oceanic therapod placed his foot down on Zedus's throat and prepared to press down...

Re: HayesAJones (Titanosaurus) vs Gorosaurus Rex (Zedus)

(GUESS WHOSE SKREEONKING BACK!)

Zedus was beaten and battered. He layed dazed upon the hard pavement. Titanosaurus had done his toll, tearing his flesh and humiliating more then any other opponent he had encountered. Originally fighting simply for the purpose of survival, Zedus now had a far darker and sinister motive. He would make this beast pay. Pay in the only language Zedus understood. BLOOD

As Titanosaurus pressed down on Zedus's throat, the saurian coughed and spewed up the frill that until recently had decorated his neck. The stinking mass of reptillian skin covered in saliva and blood spewed out of the beast's throat at a high velocity and collided with Titanosaurus's face. Blinded and disoriented due to the stench. The beast stumbled backwards, raising its foot off Zedus's throat. Acting quickly, Zedus fired his speareheaded projectile straight through the sole of orange beasts foot. Titanosaurus let out a primal scream as the tongue puncture strait through his heel and into his leg muscles. With a sharp yank, Zedus sent his foe topling to the ground. Retracting his tongue, Titanosaurus yelped as blood gushed out of his right foot like a geyser.

However, Zedus was far from finished. As Titanosaurus struggled to rise from Zedus's unexpected attack, the monster saurian let out a massive howl further disorienting the sea beast. Charging foward, the maddened reptile grabbed Titanosaurus by his two antennae in his right fist. Zedus roared and hurled the orange beast through the air. However, the force proved to be too much for Zedus's grip. The two antennae that for so long had guided the beast through its deep sea lair ripped loose in a spurt of blood. Titanosaurus toppled through the air, and eventually landed head first into the nearby concrete. The beast winced as several teeth came loose as its skull colided with the hard concrete, and a large concussion formed inside his already weakend skull. Still the beast skid foward, flipping onto its back, Titanosaurus felt his dorsal fin shred away from the heavy friction created by the concrete. Eventually, the beast came to a stop.

Zedus eyed his work with sadistic pleasure. He was back in this fight. Time to finish the weakened beast off. Laying overturned on the ground beneath him was a gasoline truck, already leaking its flammable contents on the ground. Zedus let out a sneer. He had seen these makeshift grenades before, time to put them to good use. Zedus grabbed the truck in his left fist and hurled it at his weakened opponent.

(Alright! Let's get this thing rolling.)

The flaming truck soared through the air in a fiery arc. Just as Titanosaurus stumbled to his feet, the human vehicle smashed into his face and detonated, a ball of flames and smoke enveloping the sea monster. Zedus purred in dark glee. This predatory purr soon caught in the suarian beast's throat as something came flying from the wall of smoke. It was a perfect sphere of concrete, previously the centerpiece of a large fountain. Now, it was a rather potent projectile. The concrete ball caught Zedus square in the jaw, striking with a horrible crunch. The man-eating giant gurgled in hideous pain, almost collapsing. Blood ran down his jawline like crimson tears. Several of his teeth and been splintered by the impact and the yellowed shards driven deep into his soft, pink gums. As Zedus clutched at his mouth, Titanosaurus emerged from the disappearing smoke.

Striding forward with a slight limp, the aquatic behemoth was furious. His cunning foe's latest attack had done its damage. The dinosaur winced every time he put weight on his right foot and the stumps of his antennae ached horribly. But the pain only made him stronger. For each wound his adversary inflicted on him, he intended to return it tenfold. And right now, Zedus's pain tab was very, very high. Wiping the last of the great lizard's disgusting saliva from his face, Titanosaurus shook what was left of New Orleans with his trumpeting voice and charged, eyes pinpoints and jaws slathering.

Holding out a sturdy arm stiffly, Titanosaurus clotheslined Zedus, his great mass forcing a distinctively high yelp from the dignified creature. Zedus was slammed into the hard ground, city street cratering beneath him. The ravenous leviathan gasped in pain, throat sore from being caved in so violently. That was the least of his worries. An enormous force threw Zedus's head to the side at a dangerously sharp angle. Titanosaurus drew back his closed fist, an angry hiss escaping from between his needle-like teeth. Rising to his full height, the marine therapod deliver a powerful kick to the lithe beast's ribs, the blow landing with a wet crack. The lighter reptile was send tumbling away wildly. Titanosaurus followed, trotting after it. Zedus came to a stop at the edge of the Mississippi, head dangling just above the water.

Titanosaurus fixed that by shoving the agile hunter's limp body under the dark, murky surface. Strong fingers keeping a tight hold around the other relic's neck, Titanosaurus wondered how long it would take for Zedus to drown...

Water filled the startled saurians nose, and the beast let out a gargling roar of confusion. Blood and water fillled his mouth and nostrils and air would soon disappear from his lungs. Things were not looking good. Zedus had to get Titanosaurus away from the water. It was the beasts territory. Fighting inland was the best option, but how to get there? The beast still held Zedus in a hold that would most likely kill him.

As life began to drain from the beast's eyes, it's tail began to thrash about wildly. Brought on by pure reptillian instinct, Zedus's entire body broke into violent and unpredictable spasms. Its spiked tail whipped back and forth, lacerating the Titanosaurus's ankles. As one spike cut deep into the beass thigh, Titanosaurus let out a yelp of pain and let Zedus go.

The hold released, Zedus slowly rose from the water vomiting up gallons of mud and liquid. However, it wasnt long before the beast regained his composure. Adrenaline pumped into Zedus's saurian brain, reviving the warriors spirit.

Zedus turned towards his foe, who was still howling in pain several dozen yards away, and let out a titanic roar. Titanosaurus's sensitive ears ached from the wall of sound that came crashing towards him, and the beast dropped to its knees. This only brought the beast more pain as his bloodied legs slammed into the hard concrete.

However, Zedus was far from finished. The beast charged foward, and opened its massive jaw. Still stunned by the ringing in its ears and the pain in his legs, Titanosaurus had no option but to stand still as Zedus clamped his hooked teeth around his right shoulder. Determined to get as far away from the water as possible. Zedus readjusted his bite and began to run as deep into the city as possible. As a large apartment building drew near, Zedus winced and used his opponent as a battering ram, crashing through the obstacle with relative ease. Together the pair covered several hundred yards over the course of a minute. Judging the distance to be suitable to his ends, Zedus dropped his opponent to the ground.

Titanosaurus was in a bad way. In addition to the now gaping shoulder wound, his skin was now embedded with thousands of tiny shards of glass and concrete. An iron beam lay stuck in Titanosaurus's midrif, which by some miracle had avoided puncturing any vital organs. The beast would have to be careful for the beam could easily stab deeper into his innards with hard contact. However, most notable were the saurians legs, which dripped with blood and stinging sweat. Cuts, abrasions, and scrapes covered the beasts apendages creating wounds that would make swift movement painful.

Zedus panted, admiring his work. The attack had cost him much of his already drained energy, but it was sucessful. The two were now deep into the city and wounds now peppered his opponents entire body. Exhausted, Zedus raised his foot preparing to stomp down hard on Titanosaurus's ribcage.

As Zedus's taloned foot came down, Titanosaurus made an incredibly risky move.

Rolling to the side slightly, the marine reptile lined up the metal beam in his gut with his irritatingly wily foe's foot. As Zedus's foot made contact with the beam, it was pushed straight down, barely missing several organs, until it struck the ground with a loud clang! The vibrations sent waves of agony through Titanosaurus's body, but he simply clenched his jaw and endured. But now that the beam was braced against the hot New Orleans concrete, Zedus's foot was skewered on it. The lithe predator's eyes wided and its bloody maw parted in a squeal of pain. As the great lizard tried to jerk his impaled foot up off the beam, Titanosaurus's clawed hand shot out and grabbed its ankle, preventing escape. With his free hand, the aquatic dinosaur wrapped strong fingers around the iron beam. Warbling an angry vulgarity at his pained opponent, Titanosaurus thrust both hands up. The violent motion ripped the beam from his midriff, but kept Zedus's foot on it. Thrown backwards, Zedus was forced to hop on a single foot, long tail whipping about frantically. Titanosaurus cried out as blood and ribbons of flesh gushed from the wound like a crimson geyser, but a hand roughly slapped over the gory hole kept the pain at bay. Rising to a kneel, the oceanic monster cast a wary glare at Zedus. The typically agile giant was desperately trying to keep from using its skewered foot, shaking the earth like a vast, scaly pogo stick as it tried to stay balanced.

Struggling to his feet, it occurred Titanosaurus that the sight would be extremely funny if he wasn't so furious with the unfortunate beast. Although he would have been perfectly happy to sit back and watch the show, the sea-going saurian knew from experience that Zedus could not be underestimated. Lips curling, Titanosaurus shook his shoulders in anticipation and charged.

Every step drew a sharp burst of pain, but Titanosaurus soldiered up and kept moving as he rushed Zedus, a permanent grimace stuck on his scrunched face. Butting Zedus's ribs with his head, Titanosaurus knocked the ravenous carnivore off his one available foot and to the ground. Hands swiftly seeking the iron beam still run through the squirming giant's foot, Titanosaurus twisted it to the side, digging its hard edge deep into soft, raw flesh. Zedus stiffed, spine arching with a scream of pain. With a quick movement, Titanosaurus jerked it in the opposite direction, earning a second shriek from his adversary. Releasing the beam, Titanosaurus snatched up one of Zedus's arms, his other set of claws sinking into the limp creature's scruff. Lifting Zedus with one great heave, the undersea therapod hurled his over his head. Zedus probably would have traveled quite far, but he collided with a skyscraper at the peak of his flight. Glass and shrapnel raining down from the crash, Zedus landed in a heap at the base of towering building, street cratering under his mass. Groaning horribly, the crippled structure collapsed, partially burying Zedus.

Titanosaurus knew he was too far from water, but he couldn't help from feeling a shiver of excitement. Bloodlust, not logic, driving him, the gigantic amphibian braced himself against a neighboring skyscraper and pushed. With the screech of twisting metal and a chirping trumpet of satisfaction, the great human structure began to topple, its long shadow falling over Zedus and growing larger at an exponential rate...

Zedus's head rung. The amphibian beast had once again thwarted his efforts in ending this exhausting encounter. His foot ached and throbbed from the gaping hole in his sole. Bits of glass and concrete littered the ground, debris from the structure Titanosaurus had turned into a weapon not too long before. All too late, Zedus realized the shadow growing across his face. With a grunt of surprise, he quickly burrowed his way into the debris surrounding him, hoping to soften the blow as much as possible. As the avalanche of glass and concrete came crashing downwards, Zedus closed his eyes and winced. It may be his end, but he was going to fight on as long as possible.

The skyscraper hit with an explosive crash. Dust mushroomed out from the impact sweeping away cowering citizens and discarded vehicles. Titanosaurus himself had to cover his eyes in order to avoid being blinded by the debris.

Below several tons of man's creation, Zedus lay twitching. By some miracle he had not died, and avoided any major injury. He was bruised, fractured, and wounded, but somehow he lived. He could still hear the muffled cackles of his foe in the distance, mocking him. Zedus attempted to move his leg, but found it pinned under a large steal beam. He could do little more than twitch his fingers and toes. A small part of him wished to give up. To lie among the debris and simply let eternity take him. Let Titanosaurus have his victory. However, a strange urging in the back of his head told him not to let this pass. It was not yet Zedus's time. He may die this day, but he would not die here like a cowering rat. He would die like the beast of hunt and blood that he had been his entire life. He defeated Gamera, Gigan, and a dozen other foes. It was time for Titanosaurus to join them.

Zedus gave a twist, then a twitch, and finally a lurch. After a final flex of his powerful muscles, Zedus exploded from the wreckage with a deafening roar of defiance. Before the deep sea dinosaur could react, Zedus turned towards his foe and roared his challenge. Zedus fired out his tongue, which lanced through the air like an arrow fired from Apollo himself. Still caught off guard by his foe's sudden resurrection, Titanosaurus could not move as the spear headed muscle punctured through the center of his rib cage and exited his back. Blood spurted out his back and trickled down his ribbed dorsal fin. Fluid filled up in the beast's throat and soon Titanosaurus began to slip into unconciousness as he began to gag on his own blood.

However, Zedus was far from finished. He gave a yank on his weapon like muscle and sent his foe tumbling forward. Dizzied by blood loss and rapid motion, Titanosaurus was helpless as Zedus grabbed the beast in his left claw. With fearful eyes, the beast gazed upon his tormentor, who answered with the closest thing a reptile could to a grin.

With his free claw, Zedus pried open Titanosaurus's jaw, which poured out blood like an open faucet. Like some kind of demonic snake, Zedus's barbed tongue slithered from his open maw and into the mouth of his foe. Titanosaurus winced as his tongue was sliced open as a hundred tiny barbs cut through muscle tissue. Still the tongue continue downward, lacerating his tonsils, and wriggling its way down Titanosaurus's throat. Hundreds of tiny but deep cuts filled his throat, and the once mighty reptile began to whimper and gasp with pain. As violently as possible, Zedus retracted his tongue, ripping through tissue and tearing Titanosaurus's left tonsil completey of its socket.

Zedus let his foe drop to his knees, and stepped away as he vomited on the concrete. It was a pitiful sight. Compelled to end this fight once and for all. Zedus raised his claw preparing to slash open the wounded beasts throat.

Re: HayesAJones (Titanosaurus) vs Gorosaurus Rex (Zedus)

Titanosaurus's world consisted solely of almost unbearable agony, a blurred vortex of crimson, and the creeping threat of eternal oblivion. Hot blood flooded his mouth and throat, drenching his taste buds with a coppery tide and seeping into his innards as a uncomfortable, drawn-out, horrible warming sensation. The overpowering scent of his own life essence filled his nostrils. The only sound he could hear was a low, constant ringing, like a dead voice calling for him to join it. His eyes rolled up, fluttering like injured birds. His vision was filled by a teetering dance of black and red as he hovered between consciousness and the void. He couldn't see, he couldn't smell, he couldn't hear, he couldn't even think. All he could do was feel. And all they're was for him to feel was pain. Pain and fear.

Slumped on his bloodied knees, he didn't even notice Zedus approaching, eyes cold and savage, totally set on killing.

Memories suddenly poured into Titansaurus's ancient mind, tumbling around his head in a frenzy of images and emotions. As they began to settle down, one refused to die. It was Zedus. Zedus attacking him. Zedus hurting him. Zedus humiliating him. The bundle of memories gained momentum, bouncing around his skull like a pinball.

Zedus closed in, raising his claws and snarling.

Zedus knocking him around like sickly prey. Zedus parting his flesh and spilling his blood with cruel talons. Zedus skewering him on his damned tongue in a shower of gore. The memories reached a climax, evolving into an idea.

Zedus open his fanged maw and bellowed, rearing back to end everything.

Zedus. ZEDUS. ZEDUS. The idea emerged, fully formed and ready to be put into action.

....

Kill Zedus.

Zedus swung his clawed hand down. Some ancient instinct- ageless and universal to all living creatures- caused Titanosaurus to jerk to the side in a moment of self preservation. Instead of laying open the aquatic reptile's throat, Zedus's claws plunged into Titanosaurus's shoulder. Although the unconscious prevented Titanosaurus from dying right then and there, the claws still caused a deep, severe wound. Zedus's claws actually struck the sea monster's collar bone, chipping it. Unhappy that he'd fail to land a lethal blow, yet delighted to have blood run down his talons as he yanked them from Titanosaurus's flesh, Zedus prepared to take another swipe.

Titanosaurus's arm came straight up like a hammer, his clenched fist meeting Zedus's chin with a loud crack!

The lithe predator flew up and back like he weighed next to nothing. He smashed into the ground headfirst, several dark spatters left on his concrete cushion. Crumpling up on his own neck like an origami figure, Zedus groaned. His chin was split open and bleeding and his teeth had been jammed into his gums, shedding them and sending spikes of pain into the hunter's jaw. As the usually graceful giant slowly gathered himself, a fury so intense it was tangible filled the air. Turning a trembling gaze upward, Zedus beheld Titanosaurus, on his feet and heaving in anger. The mammoth beast eyes were blazing, two dots of fire in dark, sunken sockets. His lips were curled, his teeth grinding together. Adrenaline burned in the mountainous creature;s veins, like a continuous jolt of electricity. Body tense with rage, Titanoaurus lowered his head and charged towards Zedus with an air-shaking trumpet, shaking the whole city beneath the thunderclap of his footfall. Zedus let out a caterwaul of panic, rising in a frantic attempt to escape.

Titanosaurus struck him like a kaiju-sized freight train.

Plunging sturdy claws into the lizard's gut, Titanosaurus heaved Zedus into the air, the great saurian spewing blood as he was lifted. Anchoring his claws firmly in flesh, Titanosaurus swung the smaller monster up, rearing to his full height and actually leaving the ground in his effort, and then back down. Zedus was slammed into the ground with a deafening warble of hate and outrage. The street cratered and debris became airborne as a powerful shock wave ripped from the point of impact. An instantaneous plume of dust reached for the heavens, billowing up like an explosion.

Ripping his hand out from the broken lizard's stomach, Titanosaurus watched with grim satisfaction as blood and bits of tissue bubbled up from Zedus's open gut, spilling over onto the ground with disgusting splashes and plops. The ravenous carnivore gurgled, mouth flecked with crimson foam. Titanosaurus stared at the horrific spectacle for one moment more, then slowly rotated, feet shuffling clumsily. The adrenaline spike had faded, leaving the throwback weary again. Marching back to a sufficient distance, the marine goliath turned back around and took a hunched stance, bulging muscles bunching. In a violent release of energy, Titanosaurus sprung into the air like a monstrous child's toy. Making a tremendous arc through the New Orleans skyline, the warty sea dweller thrust out both his leg as he descended upon Zedus, his organic tree trunks set to plow into the sprawled reptile...
