What does everyone think of Family Guy? I have loved this show for years! The early seasons were great, the middle seasons kind of went downhill but lately these past few months episodes I have loved!

My feelings for this show are mixed. On one hand, I like how basically random these episodes can be, and how when they get serious they aren't joking around. My favorite running gag about this show is the constant fights between Peter and the chicken.

On the other hand, I kinda don't like the constant sexual jokes used in alot of episodes. I also don't like how they just use stupid, pointless filler in some shows, and I can't stand it when they go for nudity scenes.

Just some of the middle season episodes weren't as great as the others but they were still good! They have gotten better lately though! Loved the season finale a couple weeks ago too!

And Proofpoochie it is still on the air because a big fraction of people apparently find it funny.

I found it pretty funny back in the day, but now I generally avoid it. Pretty much stopped watching it after the second Star Wars parody. I still enjoy the 1999-2005 seasons the best.

While I am not as obsessed with the show as I was when I was still in high school, I still find it really funny.

I loved the season finale this year.

Here's what I had to say about "Family Guy" in the "TV shows you hate" thread:

Family Guy - ...I really don't feel like I need to explain myself on this one. The first three season of Family Guy were awesome. Every thing else after that sucks. I could probably go into an incredibly long explanation as to why Family Guy sucks now, but all it would do is just piss me off further. But, to keep things short, like South Park, the show gives off a feel like the creators think they're so awesome and cool, that they could put out the worst thing they could think of and people would watch it anyway. The show has drifted so far from where it started, that it feels like an entirely different unfunny show.

So yeah, "Family Guy" sucks.

Yeah but you know even if Peter did take Brian's kidneys, he'd still screw it up and do something stupid and die from that

I loved Family Guy, it was one of the main influences on my life, and had some of the greatest jokes ever committed to television.

It's gone to Hell, recently, as the writers seem to be out of ideas, and only want to make fun of the 80s or other material that they've relied on. At least they seem to be aware of it, as in one episode they go into the future, where it's clear they don't have many jokes left.

I personally think this should have been the last season, but I won't watch anymoe anyway. If it comes to the last episode, then yeah, I'll sit down for it.

Does every Family Guy thread after to devolve into a "I love it!" "I hate it" discussion? I like the show, if you don't like it that's fine. But what is it about this show that seems to bring out people who can't stand it into these threads?

A lot of people lately either seem to love it or hate it. Very few just think it's okay. I love Family Guy and I really like the episodes recently that mix in serious well written stuff with their usual comedy. Can't wait for next season!
