There is actually a corresponding-scale Hayata out there, and I've seen it for a reasonable price a couple of times. The problem is that shipping from Asia was absolutely brutal in both cases. Like, the seller was asking an additional 40% of the purchase price. Whether or not that was the going rate, I sure as hell wasn't going to pay it.

Picked this up from HobbyLinkJapan. Cost only $28 and got here in less than a week.

Hyper Zetton! Aww yeah.

This is the standard release. The first one was the "movie announcement" version.
Only difference is the box art.





Originally I was planning on getting the non-winged Hyper Zetton when it came out, but I didnt feel like waiting and figured "well I can always remove the wings if it bothers me that much."



Here the only differences between his two forms:

As well as a bony tail, which is actually curved off to the side. That's cool with me, though, because I never cared the tail anyway.

On a side not, this Zetton has a different color for the glowly parts. Zetton, EX, and Fire all have an orange color, whereas Hyper has yellow. The black is also a bit glossier than the others.

Mainly because it has that really nice silver wash on it.

I'm a fan of the Hyper Zetton design. The vinyl doesn't really do much for me, though. However, that EX Zetton is pretty cool. Does anyone else think the Bandai Zetton needs a resculpt?

Black King has been in constant production since 1983. Out of all the old sculpts Bandai has kept in production since the early '80s (Z-Ton, Mephilas, Telesdon, Black King, Bemstar and Hipportio) Black King really needs the re-vamp the most. It remains to be seen if the Ultra Galaxy Tyrant sculpt and the new Kanegon, Namegon and Garamon sculpts from those limited box sets see a regular release when Bandai eventually refreshes the line-up. Hopefully by 2014 or 2015 we'll finally get a full re-fresh of the vinyl figures and HOPEFULLY some new characters this time.
