Favorite Zombie Films?

Postby GodzillaDude » Thu May 24, 2012 5:51 pm

Sorry if there is already a thread for this which I'm sure there is but what are your favorite zombie themed movies? My three favorites are Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead and Zombieland. Though I don't think Zombieland should be put into the same category since it is a comedy film. When seriously picking my favorites they are Day of the Dead and Land of the Dead. How about you?

there is a thread about this somewhere.

anywho, i love me some old school zombies for sure. i prefer the full consumption zombie to the brain eater zombies but you've got to hunt and peck around in both areas. romero's nigh through day films are top notch. the spanish film 'living dead at manchester morgue' is a good, but kinda odd film. and burial ground from 81 is a really good out there zombie flick.

i'm a big fan of the italian stuff from 30 years ago. fulci's zombie or zombie flesh eaters is about the best out there. its so OTT in places its crazy to think its from 78-79. i'm not going to say any details to spoil anything, just if you haven't seen this film do yourself a favor and watch it.

as far as the comedy zombie fills go the first revenge of the living dead is about the best of all time.

The Evil Dead series, 1 and 2 in particular. Army of Darkness is more of a skeleton movie then a zombie movie. And even the first two could be viewed as pozession films rather than zombie flicks.

Other than the Evil Dead films. I love Braindead (Dead Alive), and Return of the Living Dead. Pic related, Tarman is boss.

The original Night of the Living Dead and White Zombie are great classics to watch and great movies too in my opinion.

Wow... I did like a search for 'zombie' and I found this:
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2405&hilit=zombie

It's a Favorite Zombie Movie thread! But it's from 2010.

My list still stands. Resident Evil being my favorite. The "of the Dead" series of films dont all click with me. The Return of the Living Dead series, while inferior, is at least funny as hell to watch. Especially the 3rd one.

TK's Resident Comic Book God & Raggedy Ann Enthusiast.
Sandy Frank dubs. All others are fail.

The original Romero trilogy, Shaun of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead, and a few others.

I don't consider The Evil D

I am going to make a list of my favorite zombie films like I should have in the first place!
1. Land of the Dead
2. Day of the Dead
3. Zombieland
4. Night of the Living Dead (Original)
Can some recommend some good serious zombie movies that I need to see? Besides the original Dawn of the Dead?
