Has this ever seen the light of day as a soundtrack release? IIRC, I've also heard it in ULTRAMAN STORY (1984)...

Thanks for your interest in the 1981 score for "Ultraman." It was a lot of fun to do and I thought it turned out pretty well, especially considering the time and budgetary restrictions we were working with. When the Japanese guys, presumably from Toho, came to the recording studio to hear it for the first time, they just about fell out of their chairs.

No, it never saw the light of day as a soundtrack release as far as I know, and it is only through your post that I know they used the music again for another movie (without paying me, of course).

Not sure why I didn't see this until now, but here I am, somewhat belatedly. I'd like to offer portions of the score for Ultraman to those who want it, and to that end, let me say that I intend to re-record the main title theme and perhaps try to remaster a few other pieces before the end of the year if possible. Not sure how to let the faithful know, except that the entire film "The Adventures of Ultraman" has been uploaded to YouTube by someone who calls himself Redneck Spaceman.
