Nice score Frank! I think I paid about $50-$60 more than that about a month or so ago on eBay. I did get the 30cm Godzilla 1964 though for less than $400 shipped. I think that's a fairly good price considering it's one of the iconic 3-4 Zillas out there.

Brad, iconic is certainly something to consider when collecting. Because I don't see myself buying all the Godzillas that X-Plus will produce in the 30cm scale.

Well, it's somewhat subjective I suppose. I always thought the 1968 DAM was iconic as well. I still need to get that one.

To me, the G '73 is iconic. That's the Godzilla I grew up watching on tv in Canada during the 80s and although it may be goofy looking, it's my all time favorite. The fact that it's one of the rarest suits in terms of models/toys, makes it even more special. The 25cm G '73 is the reason I started collecting X-Plus at all, so I'm sticking with just the 25cm...unless they bring out a 30cm version....

But honestly,I think the 30cm are too big. Unless you have a huge space and you are comfortable in your lifestyle to have a huge "toy" display. For me, the 25cm are great. Big enough to enjoy, small enough to hide when a girl I'm trying to hook up with suddenly comes over unexpectedly.

I actually like the 67G myself, because Son of Godzilla was one of the first Godzilla movies I saw.
And, it's one of my favorite X-Plus figures. Both of them.

Is it just me, but I have a sneaky suspicion that X-Plus may rerelease some of there figures?
No haven't read this somewhere.
I feel this way whenever I see restock of older X-Plus figures on Hobby Search.

Got my X-Plus 25cm Gigan and MechaG.

Gigan is awesome. Really, everything about it is superb.
MechaG, I don't like how they put so many wrinkles in the sculpt. I understand it's a rubber monster, but it just takes away from the figure. Overall it's still decent though, and I like it better than the 30cm (which I could never get to stand upright properly). I just feel like it could've been better though. But I'll still keep it.

EDIT - I just noticed there's a small tear in the vinyl of MechaG above his right shoulder. Not really noticeable, but still, this is supposed to be a high-end figure. Anyone else have this problem? I sent a email to Hobby Search to see what they say.

Got a pic? That sucks, my 30cm g62 had cracks on the underside of the tail.

I started the process w hobby search but decided it would not be worth the trouble. My damage is very unnoticeable.

Again, it's not that big of a deal and isn't noticeable on display, but that doesn't mean it's okay to get a defect figure. I'll see what Hobby Search wants to do.

Wow, those excessive rubber wrinkles are a bit much, especially on the 1974 suit.

Damn, sorry about that, man...if you're like me, you'll fixate on that and get mad everytime you look at it. I hope HS takes care of you.

Yeah, that's sort of an unexciting figure to say the least. Ah well, gotta have it though... goes with Imago.

So, have I mentioned the withdrawals I'm having over the lack of new announcements from X-Plus? They must be saving up. Maybe those Kiryus are taking longer to make than they anticipated. lol

I had read that their master sculpture left to work for Y-MSF, which is why their hiring and have an intern working.

Oooooo... that actually concerns me. I can only hope they find someone as talented as the last guy. How on Earth did Y-MSF get him away from X-Plus!!? :(

UPDATE: BREAKING NEWS!
30cm Varan and classic Moguera (25cm maybe on that one) announced! Prototypes up on X-Plus' blog...

Brad, I was being sarcastic :D
Though I'll bet that kinda stuff happens. Kinda like when half the Street Fighter team from Capcom left to work for SNK to develop King of Fighters, Art of Fighting, and so on..

Cool to see some new releases. The Biolante flower looks ok painted.

Wow! It's too bad Varan isn't on all fours, though. Still really nice.

Thanks for the heads-up... I have to say that I'm not overwhelmed by that Varan; at least, not on the basis of this photo. For one thing, the pose reminds me more of Moth-Godzi than Varan.

But if their bonus figure is a little "floating" Varan, DAM-style, damned if I won't order it anyway... and probably just sell off the 30cm Varan itself. (I'm happy with the 30cm vinyl kit of Varan I already have.)
