British DVD Releases

Is there a guide available anywhere regarding the availability of these films on DVD in Britain? I'm aware there's a few releases of the original film. I've a friend in Britain who I may try to convert to Godzilla in the future.

(I'm aware Britain is R2 and can import Japanese releases with no issue, but curiosity.)

If you're only talking about Godzilla and other scifi movies that were either produced or distributed by Toho, then these are all the ones that have received a DVD release in the UK:

- Godzilla (1954)
- The Mysterians
- King Kong vs. Godzilla
- King Kong Escapes
- the vampire trilogy (Vampire Doll, Lake of Dracula and Evil of Dracula)
- Princess from the Moon
- Tokyo: The Last Megalopolis
- the Heisei Gamera trilogy
- Godzilla (1998)
- the 20th Century Boys trilogy

Of course besides the titles above, several other Toho movies have been released in the UK, like Akira Kurosawa's classics and Sinking of Japan (2006).

whilst not toho i know that classic gamera, and the two iris and legion ones are on UK DVD but are incredibly rare, but if you look had enough on amozon you would find it, there is also yojimbo, and gantz here as well, BTW i suggest getting the mysterians DVD I have seen several editions and the r2 one is best, lots of special features including original trailers, and some very interesting moguera concept art that makes him look like the ymir, plus a 12 page mini book about the creation of the mysterians.

I have a DVD of Godzilla (1954) original Japanese with English subtitles that came free with one of our British newspapers.
Japanese Man 1: RUN! IT'S GODZILLA!
Japanese Man 2: It looks like Godzilla, but due to international copyright laws - it's not.
Man 1: STILL! WE SHOULD RUN LIKE IT IS GODZILLA!
Man 2: Though it isn't.
Man 2 Winks at Camera; both scream and run away]

I have that. It was issued by The Guardian. Other than that I don't believe I have any other British DVDs, just a number of VHS.
