I wonder if IDW and DH will ever team up to do a Star Trek/Star Wars crossover?

That would be THE big nerd crossover or one of the biggest people want to see. I just hope with this, this leads to more Doctor Who crossovers. I DEMAND DOCTOR WHO MEETS SUPERMAN!!!

I would imagine that a ST/SW crossover would have fans get angry if they have the Galactic Empire lose to the United Federation. Most people to agree that the Empire would stomp the Federation for having much more fire power.

Not really. The Federation can put an absolutely insane amount of firepower on the front lines should the need arise. I think the match-up could be handled in a logical fashion, so long as the writer was clever enough.

Re: Crossovers

Postby The One and Only » Wed May 16, 2012 7:42 pm

This morning I caught Fast Five on HBO ,and I was thinking, how back in my youth when I was in single digits one of my favorite flicks growing up was the Smokey & The Bandit films. I thought it would be cool to see this man(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uN3c64j2DPE in hot pursuit of Dom and his crew.Image
Heck, if they can bring back Tupac for a live action performance on stage, the wizards in Hollywood can bring back good old Bufford for a return performance on the big screen.

Here's another one that I talked about on another forum, I think that you'd all be interested in this crossover.
DINOSAURS ATTACK...MARS !-In the aftermath of the Martian Invasion, in which thanks to the nuclear submarines halted the Martian advances, and ended the war in a stalemate. With the Earth divided into two sides, practically right down the middle with a Great Wall separating the two sides. Said stalemate will only last until the Martians can figure out how to successfully pinpoint the subs in their subaquatic environment. Which is hard for the Martians to doup out due to the fact they are not used to dealing with an oceanic environment due to Mars being a desert world. But it is only a matter of time before the Martians can figure out a way.

President Newt Gingrich is approached by one man who can possibly end this stalemate once and for all. One of the world's most brilliant scientists, Dr. Elliot Thorne, who avoided the carnage of the Martian Invasion due to him being seclusion at his cabin in the woods. The reason for Thorne's self-imposed isolation was because of recurring nightmares he had been suffering from. During this time Thorne had developed a bold new theory called Time-Scan. Time-Scan would actually allow someone to observe through time, in the same way an astromener would view the stars in the heavens through a telescope. But Thorne has modified Time-Scan in a way to allow information to be transmitted back in time. A warning about the Martian Invasion. Also along for the trip plans are made to send specs for weapons, and tech developed to combat the invaders ,in order to successfully counter the invasion. Even tp perhaps launch a premptive strike against Mars ,and halt it altogether.

But fate, or to be more precise, something much more sinister happens. When the project, Code-Named:QUATERMASS is completed, and the Time-Scan is activated things go a bit ca-ca. Instead of observing the past, or even sending the planned messages back, the Time-Scan overshots its intended mark by millions of years, to the Age of Dinosaurs. And instead of observing the Prehistoric Past, it brings it to the present. The world is now overrun with dinosaurs. And on top of that parts of the prehistoric landscape is transplanted to sections of the Earth. The dinosaurs, carnivores, and herbavores alike, seem to have developed a mad on for the world's inbabbitants, human and Martian alike. And surprisingly the dinos have also shown up on Mars, and are taking their almost directed rage on the Martians as well.

But little does anyone know, Thorne has been manipulated all along by an unseen hand. The hand of the Patron Demon of the Dinosaurs, the Dinosaur Satan, or as Thorne will eventually call him, the Supreme Monstrosity. Who manipulated the unbalenced scientist to develop his Time-Scan,and will now have two worlds to rule when he drives his Jurassic Death Squad. All thanks to Thorne and desparate humanity...

I want to see Godzilla/Jurassic Park. They could say that Godzilla was a genetically engineered from several theropods.

I think if the parties could be made to agree, I could see a Transformers/GI Joe/Godzilla crossover.

But being IDW, they'd turn Kiryu into a Transformer and bring all the mechas in and rape them. And GI Joe would be piloting them all.

Matt Frank and others at IDW have done some pretty awesome Transformers/Godzilla crossover art, but it all has to be independant. Sadly although IDW owns both comics rights, Toho wont let IDW crossover with anything (probably why Godzilla wasn't involved with Infestation II). But it goes way back, which is why the Godzilla/Predators idea Dark Horse had back in the day never happened.
There has never been a "Scientifically Accurate" Dinosaur portrayed on any Television Show, Movie, or Documentary. Only what the human imagination can conceive, and I'm ok with that.

I knew that Dark Horse back when it had the Big-G pitched a bunch of crossovers that Toho. Other than Godzilla meeting up with Dark Horse's Ultraman analogue, HERO ZERO,Image,
the House That Godzilla Built shot them down.
Some of the ones included were, Gamera, Justice League, Superman(written/drawn by Art Adams), WildC.A.T.S., and even the Terminator. I didn't know there was a Predator one proposed. I could see it. But I'd be more up for one featuring the Preds arch foes, the ALIENS. And in the course of said crossover we'd end up with some kind of Godzilla/Xenomorph hybrid looking like this sucker,Image, designed by Bernie Wrightson.
Basically, it would involve the Yutani Corporation locating, and recovering the Alien Queen from the bottom of the Antarctic Ocean as we saw at the end of AVP. And with some help of the rather ambitious head of Japan's CCI, begin to look into exploiting the potential for bioweapons from the Xenomorph's biology. Both to develop a countermeasure against Godzilla, and as something to add to the defense of the country against a more convential threat, like China.

I wonder if DH still has the rights to Kong since they made King Kong comics in 2005 and 2006? I guess they could try to team up with IDW to make some King Kong vs. Godzilla remake in a comic book form. It's very unlikely but a person can always dream.

I'd pay to to see that. Smokey and the Bandit is one of my favorite movies.
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.

I never liked the F&F movies, but putting Bufford in there would definitely get my ass to pay for a seat.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Power Rangers
Star Wars/Star Trek
Godzilla/Transformers
South Park/The Simpsons/Family Guy

I can't tell if some of these are sarcasm or not, but....

The avengers and X-men have crossover over NUMEROUS times and we've got an event now all focusesd on Avengers vs X-men. There's also an older series collected in two trades and another series called blood something also on trade.

The TMMT/PR happened in a parody kind of issue in a TMNT comic and there's the turtles meeting the power rangers in space ream.

The rest no but those other ones would be pretty cool.
