Why is everyone so damn bitchy about everything?

The four minute preview was very enjoyable. The "Put on the mask scene" was good, it shows that Spiderman is just more than a suit. Plus what would you tell a kid about to die in a burning car who is scared to death? Plus they live in New York the odds of seeing the same kid is very very low, him growing up to be a villian is just stupid, and telling his mom that he is Spiderman can be covered up by a simple excuse.

The Lizard looks just fine, yes it's not the "Reptile" Lizard, but it's something different. Maybe it's a set up for him to futher lose his humanity in a sequel, who knows. The point is that it looks fine and people need to get their head out of their ass and just accept that things change, they changed Spiderman's origin so what's so wrong with them changing the Lizard?

Yes, we should all just say good things about this movie, despite how we never saw this before.

See, the argument can go both ways. No need to bitch about how watsy and I have reservations about this.

Its not so much reservations but declaring a product to be shit for minor reasons before the film is even released.

I'm as huge a Lizard fan as anybody, and I have to admit the design disappoints me, but honestly I don't think that should ruin the film for someone. Remember how bad the Green Goblin looked in the first Spider-man movie?

But whatever, we could at least hope that the movie is great and thats what counts.

And i didnt mind the Green Goblin suit...it was ok and it didnt made the movie worse or anything.

Funny thing is I also Loved Rami's Green Goblin, an organic version would look just odd and too cartoony to be taken serious.
The helmet stayed true to the original design and helped with the whole "Im the Goblin! NO im Osborn!". It gave sense of there being a second party in Osborn's mind by using the helmet as its own being.

The ways I see the Lizard in this film, since they are taking a more realistic view on the film.
How would you explain the teeth becoming sharp?
How would you explain the skull malforming without damaging the brain after detransformation?
Allows Connor to go back to human without too many deformities.(Oh God long nails!)

The tail I cant explain, also I LOVE how the gave him 4 fingers on one hand to show that arm regrew.

Humans do have vestigial tail bones. The mutation causing accelerated regrowth of the tail bones may be possible. However, if you take advantage of that, the teeth can also be changed. The skull makes sense though.

The human face will also allow for better facial expressions. That and more understandable facial expressions.

The thing is they could give him a snout at the very end, for like the final battle or something. He becomes fully monstrous and it becomes a fight for his humanity. Spidey shouldn't want to kill him.

Alex Ross did some work on the first Spider-Man and here's what the Goblin could have looked like...

Um, I'd say something like "Don't worry, I'm here to help you!" or "You're gonna be fine!" or something, you know, encouraging. No need to insult the kid's intelligence by telling him something as stupid as "This mask gives you superpowers!!!" That's something you say to the one Spec Ed kid in middle school if you're trying to pull a prank on him. Like "Hey Billy, I need you to beat up that giant football player over there. Don't worry, if you put this mask on, you'll be stronger than him! Go get him!"

Actually, now that I think about it, I'd like to see how that conversation continued between Spidey and the kid in the car:

- "Here, put this mask on; it'll make you strong!"
- "Wait, let me get this straight: the reason you have superpowers is because of this mask?"
- "Yeah, sure, whatever kid. Just put it on and start climbing!"
- "Okay. Hey, wait a minute, doesn't that mean you'll lose your powers if you take off your mask?"
- "Uh, um. Well, it's complica-"
- "This mask doesn't do a damn thing, does it!"
- "....."
*Car falls into the river*

Now THAT I'd actually pay $7.50 to see!

I thought he wanted him to wear the mask so he didn't breath in any smoke and just told him what a little kid would want to hear.

Or maybe I just looked way too far into it. *shrug*
