Only Godzilla's I can think of at that size are the BC one, a couple of the Trendmasters figures, the old Imperial one, and a couple DX figures Bandai's put out.

The Final Wars and Tokyo:SOS ones were a foot tall. I know there's others, but I can't remember them.

Anyone have any leads on a Godzilla Chronicles gashapon set of the 15 Godzilla figures at a decent price?
Thanks in advance!

Since people were bringing up the CCP Ghidorah in the 'What Toy Did You Just Buy?' thread, I figure this is a good time to ask about it.

Does anyone own it?
What quality is it?
What scale is it?

I haven't seen any cheap one in the US is a long time, but if you buy from .jp sites, you might have better luck. One sold on Yahoo auction japan for $26 + s/h just a few weeks ago.

Club Tokyo says it's about 9 inches tall with a 15 inch wingspan. The Gigabrain is a little under 14 tall with almost 16 wingspan.

Actually I believe ebirahmegs said the GB was 11 inches tall. It is bulkier than the CCP, but then will likely push you back alot more.

Of the TKers I think only leunames owns the CCP.

I that if we replace 'Gigabrain' with 'Monsterarts' in Jomei's post, suddenly comparing lines is 'wrong'...

Maybe. I'm just giving the measurements listed on Gigabrain's website. 35cm high by 40cm wingspan. Maybe they're measuring to the top of the wings...? I don't know.

Huh? I was merely giving a size comparison. Since it came up in comparison to the Gigabrain, I mentioned the measurements of the GB figure merely as a reference point since someone wanted an idea of its scale. But if we were to compare the two figures, at least they'd be similar in style... instead of comparing two figure lines that differ greatly in size, material, type of sculpt and paint, and emphasis on articulation/accessories.

Huh??? :eh: Apples and oranges is an idiom that refers to comparing two things which are too unalike to be compared by the same criteria. The CCP and the Gigabrain are much more similar than the MonsterArts and Gigabrain. Therefore, a comparison by the same criteria is more legitimate in the case of the CCP figure vs the GB.

"Apples and oranges" would be an objection made to the comparison of MonsterArts and stylized figs... not the comparison of stylized figs to other stylized figs. In short, you can't fault an orange for not being an apple, and you can't fault a Gigabrain for not being super-articulated. But the CCP and Gigabrain are both oranges, so to speak, so you can compare their "orangeness."

But again, I was merely giving measurements to answer the gentleman's question about scale. And since there are numerous GB size-up pics handy, it was a useful reference point

Comparing the Gigabrain with the CCP makes far more sense than comparing the Gigabrain with the MonsterArts figure. I'm with Jomei on this one.

Apples and oranges:

"A comparison of apples and oranges occurs when two items or groups of items are compared that cannot be validly compared.

The idiom, comparing apples and oranges, refers to the apparent differences between items which are popularly thought to be incomparable or incommensurable, such as apples and oranges. The idiom may also be used to indicate that a false analogy has been made between two items, such as where an apple is faulted for not being a good orange."

What I meant when I used it is that you can't compare individual taste. Eh, we're off-topic anyways...

Club Tokyo's Big Kahuna, Mike J., sent me a ton of items to list on the Marketplace! Check it out - pretty much every single item is something you cant find anywhere else or have probably never seen before! I've still got more to list, too!

And my Bandai 6" and 8" vinyl selection is still through the roof.

Its still weird that just a while back, people were fervently comparing X-plus to Gigabrain and Marmit (particularly one of the people who were busy complainign about my mention of MA SG in the MMH thread), M1 to Trendmasters, Revoltech to SHMA, Marmit to Bandai and then people start comparing SHMA to those stylized companies and suddenly, people start complaining about line comparison as though it is something so terrible, and this fascist policy on line comparison pops up.
