I'd prefer the movie version. The SNES version reminds me too much of the base Godzilla sprite for some reason, but the movie version makes him look unique.

I'd go with the movie version. The game version looks too much like a mutated Godzilla.

I'd go with the movie and the game as a alt color

Id go with the movie version, but I'd try to get rid of the "godzilla skin" texture the sprite has.

Well, i take it that everyone likes the Movie version more :p lol

The reason the texture is Godzilla-like is because, well 1. At the time i made it, i thought it looked fine how it was, and 2.So it's easier to make the frames for the monster. But if it's an issue, i can try to edit it and see where it takes me.

AWMGodzilla62 wrote:Just one suggestion though, his chest plates need to be a darker grey just like the lower plate.

Now that you mention it, yeah, that should be the same color. Oy, i really need to stop working on these sprites last minute, and look over the details more.

Anyways, i guess that the Movie version will be the primary, and the generalness of the SNES version for at least one of the alt colors.

Okay well since I'm TK biggest Mugen fanatic first let me say I'm happy to see this happening, I'm hoping you'll do one of MG74 and make him good because I've played other versions of him and wasn't impressed and they were kind of crap.

Now for the project as a whole, I say good luck and try to produce a product with quality as I've played some not so good Godzilla characters in mugen before and wasn't pleased. Taking time, effort, and creativity is the key to making excellent mugen characters, not alpha after alpha and beta after beta of characters that clearly need more work done with them before release. Remember if your product is bad, people won't be interested. Now with me saying all that, can I help with this project? Absolutely not as I can't sprite to save my life and I have no programming skills, however I have been a tester for a couple of characters in the past so there's that. All I can offer is my word and my judgement on this project. If you want someone to help you, try Gigan X3, he knows more about programming and how to sprite things then me.

But now I before I finish this post, I will say two things:

I like the idea of making Bagan a straight out custom sprite creation rather then relying on the game sprites and it looks good, but I feel the head needs work to differate(can't spell today) between Godzilla. I suggest talking to the guy who made the AWESOME Destroyah and ask for advice.

And two, you have my blessing as long as you follow what I said.

Well, the chars from the previous game (TGTW) weren't that bad i don't think they just had some technical bugs (and some improvements would have been nice).

Alright Sure! As long as you follow the obvious "don't leak anything" rule you can be one of our testers.

I'm sure I'll be fine, but if i need it, I'll give him a ring.

I'm gonna assume you mean Tokuiten's Destoroyah from the infamous Mugen char, right?

I have completed what i think will become the full and finalized roster for the game (excluding the DLC of course). I'll be checking it with my associates and we'll see how it goes.

However, because i don't want to spoil everything and have something for you guys to look forward to, i unfortunately won't be telling you the rest of the monsters (maybe 1 or 2 more).

As for a release date, i really don't want to rush things like before, and get it right this time, so i can't really say. I'd like to have it done within the year, but who knows.

Ah, but of course. We've figured out a decent amount of Bosses, and our Finale. "Secret" Bosses? Not sure specifically what you mean by secret, but i'd be pretty sure there will be DLC bosses, which of course will not be CPU-locked. They'll be fully playable, though typically meant to be bosses. Character DLC would fit under the "Secret" category, yes?
As for stages, i'm pretty sure i can't avoid in wanting to throw in bonus stages, some of which will probably not even be Toho-Related. For example, i was thinking about Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2.

scarecrow wrote:Why not Super Godzilla? Not to F up the original basics of the series into the game I mean.

Well, series doesn't apply here, it's basically anything Toho related. Reason for that is because if we were to include Super G, it would have to be customed in order to look in par with the other sprites. Having said that, it means that more work would have to be put in. Considering the current roster will be having (A currently unnamed amount of) customed monsters already (Like Bagan for example), it would generate alot more work that most likely I would have to do. At least for the released version - Meaning i could make one for DLC, but I'd rather not give myself too much work for the standard version of the game, taking up even more time, and putting more strain on myself. You understand.
