I think this is probably one of the best ideas yet. Simplicity at it's best. There is really no need to put in a massive chunk of the film for his origins, but enough so that it leaves enough to be wondered about. Kinda like how Godzilla X Mechagodzilla or GMK began with Godzilla just suddenly appearing. It leaves us enough to wonder about how this Godzilla was created, and adds enough to the plot, but not too much (example: GxM- I enjoyed the opening sequence, but it would not work for another film too well, unless it shows an important scene that will become some what important later on)

This doesn't have to be something that takes up 30 minutes of films just have someone say "where did it come from?" and some other guy say "while there is no way to confirm it the most accepted theory by scientits is that he's a dinosaur or a relative or something that somehow survived to today and was mutated due to exposer to fallout from nuclear tests".

There done. Doesn't take 30 minutes all it takes is 5 seconds of dialougue. Not some complacated origin story. Just a theory mentioned for only 5 seconds.

Who else here thinks the new Godzilla Movie might lead to a GMK type movie, or possibly another movie where Godzilla destroys Tokyo single handedly.

My best idea is one where Godzilla destroys Tokyo, move on to Osaka, then then leaves, then the U.S. and Japan team up to kill Godzilla because of no longer beaing able to use the oxyegen destroyer.

I like the idea that Godzilla ends up in Japan for nostalgia's sake and in America, which makes sense being that it's American. I don't really have a preference of which was first. A GMK-style movie where Godzilla goes on a rampage and one or more monsters attempts to stop him is not bad either.

A story synopsis I worked up for Matt Frank:

Went as far as to picking out actors (Cillian Murphy, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang and Chow Yun Fat as Mugal).

I had based it off of an old idea I had been kicking around for a while. From what I can say, it's not as much what I want to see in the LP film as much as how I would have done GINO differently (however, I still picked more current actors).

For that story I combined aspects from preexisting American Godzilla attempts aside from GINO. I've also imagined a Godzilla design that is featured not only in this story, but numerous others, a sort of Millennium/American hybrid:

In both stories Godzilla would have battled a giant insect inspired by "Queen Bitch" from the abandoned "GINO 2" story. Matt's beast was similar to Biollante, a creature created from Godzilla's DNA. In my story it is closer to GINO 2 where the monsters are natural rivals from the same mutated ecosystem. I'll try to get a story synopsis up soon.

Also, my take on the insect Queen is also closer to GINO 2 (was described as having a grub like body, spiny legs and a venomous stinger).

Here is my story idea:

201X: A young 20 year old American girl named Max was sitting on a hilltop over looking the sea. Max spots a huge pointy dorsal fin sticking out of the water. At first she assumes that it was just a pointy rock floating. Max climbs off the hill and runs towards the beach to get a look. However, she sees a gigantic legendary lizard monster named Godzilla leave the water. Max runs to the top of the hill & gets out a gun. Max shoots at the monster's head. Godzilla gets ready to blast her with his atomic breath until he sees a dragon pearl hanging around Max's neck. Godzilla backs off & heads back into the water.

Max then travels along the island to gather some info about the beast that she saw. The natives tell her that the monster she saw is called Godzilla and that the islanders live in fear of him. Max asks why. The old islander says that Godzilla represents the devil and that Godzilla kills whatever gets in his way with zero remorse or regret. The old islander says that in order to keep Godzilla away from the island is to flash a special item. The man says that a Dragon Pearl full of light energy will keep Godzilla away from the island. Max says that she wears a Dragon Pearl but all of a sudden, lightning strikes & the islanders hide in their houses.

Max leaves the island and heads to Tokyo. Max meets up with an esteemed Japanese scientist named Professor Yamada. Max tells Yamada about Godzilla. Yamada says that he's heard of Godzilla before and that he also tells her that Godzilla was mutated by an atomic bomb in the mid 1940's and has attacked Japan before in the 1950's. Yamada says that he fears that Godzilla might show up & attack Japan again.

Max tells Yamada that Godzilla can be repelled by a Dragon Pearl full of light energy and says that she wears such an item. Yamada agrees to the idea and has Max go meet an old friend of his named Io to build a tower strong enough to contain the pearl's energy. Five weeks later the Dragon Pearl tower is built. Reports turn up about several ships being sunk by an unknown force. Max tells the reporters that unknown force which sunk the ships was Godzilla. People are shocked that Godzilla attacked the ships. Max & Professor Yamada explain that since Godzilla likes to feed on neuclear energy and that the ships might've contained such energy that Godzilla attacked the ships and fed on the neuclear energy to grow stronger.

Soon later the Japanese government is alarmed that Godzilla has returned. The prime minister then decided to send out the best Japanese military there is out to stop Godzilla. At nightfall, Godzilla makes landfall. However he sees the Dragon Pearl tower shining light on him. Godzilla gets angered and backs off. However Godzilla unleashes his atomic breath and destroys the tower. Godzilla makes landfall and tanks open fire. Jets also open fire on the monster. Godzilla gets very annoyed by this assault and destroys the jets & tanks and makes his way towards Tokyo. Max, Yamada & Dr. Io stand by in Yamada's house & watch. Godzilla appears in Tokyo and starts his attack by blowing up buildings with his atomic breath. The Japanese government watches in horror at this ungodly demon setting fire to Tokyo again.

Maser tanks are brought in and attack Godzilla with blue maser lasers. Godzilla destroys these tanks with ease. Max, Yamada & Io then see Godzilla approaching their location. The trio flee the building before it collapses while killing some other scientists already inside. The trio get on Yamada's jet & take off for Oshima Island. Godzilla sees the jet & begings his chase leaving Tokyo a ghost city. Millions killed, others either injured or perhaps dying. Max, Io & Yamada land on the island with some people who made it to the island.

Yamada says the only way to stop Godzilla is to use the Dragon Pearl that Max wears around her neck. Max asks if Godzilla has a weakness. Yamada says that Godzilla has a 2nd brain located on his left side. Godzilla makes landfall. A helicopter shines a light in Godzilla's eyes blinding him. This gives Max the chance. Max inserts her Dragon Pearl into her gun, she gets on a cliff and hits Godzilla in his weak spot. Godzilla's whole body lights up and a big stream of blood splurts out of Godzilla's side.

Godzilla howls in pain. Godzilla fires his atomic breath at the helicopter but misses everytime. Godzilla's body lights up again and Godzilla howls in pain even louder. Godzilla then stumbles all the way back into the water and swims all the way down to the ocean floor and hopes his wounds heal.

The End.

I applogize for making this a super long idea but I had to try to make the best story idea that I could hope to ever do.

Interesting idea Sydney, especially with a Dragon Pearl. The only way to stop the big G is a pearl, defiantly shows how Godzilla is force of nature and something unatural is the only thing that at least weakens him! lol

Off the coast of japan several fishing boats disappear without a trace. Several weeks later at a UN meeting japans amassador informs the UN that japan believes that they are under attack by terrorists and the UN then agrees to send a U.S. and U.K led investigation. There the leaders of the investigation head to odo island where the first fishing boat disappeared.The leaders of the investigation decide to talk to the locals about the incident. They ask many natives but they ignore there questions almost afraid to tell the leaders something. They eventually find a person willing to talk, the man tellls them that the reason why the ships have been disappearing is because of the legendary Gojira (Godzilla). While they where talking the natives start scearming and alarms go off. the three head outside and they see several of the investigation boats getting destroyed by godzilla. after 3 of the 4 are gone godzilla leaves, the leaders then head back to tokyo and find out its to late to warn the prime minister godzilla attacked tokyo and left nothing but rubble. the leaders head back to the UN and tell them about there findings but are informed that godzilla has already landed in russia and is heading toward the the other side of europe the UN sends everything to stop godzilla but nothing stops him. In south america another creature awakens and heads toward europe to face off against godzilla.On the way to there final showdown both godzilla and the other creature battle other monsters. finally in paris the two meet up godzilla has started to destroy all of eastern france and europe and the other creature destroys all of south america and southern U.S. and U.K. and western europe the final showdown will be around 45 minutes and its almost one sided until godzilla starts hitting the creature with his atomic breath then the creature starts attacking with its own ray then the two finally start hitting and clawing and biting each other until they get close to the Eiffiel Tower where it almost looks like the creature is about ready to send godzilla into the tower but godzilla hits a up close atomic blast and decapicates the creature then godzilla will throw the monster into the eiffiel tower and then godzilla will unleash his blast on the remains of the creature and the eiffiel tower

BJ Doggy is a black pilot. He flies around the globe, transporting spare parts for nuclear reactors. He has a fun job, he's very sociable, and his co-workers (namely a hot scientist called Roxanne Bleeps, computer analyst) have a blast with him. One day, BJ notices a big blurry spot flying past his plane. He immediatly notifies the near Artic base about this. When he lands, he gets told on by a scary army official called General Rage. The good general inform him, that no radar picked up a large thing flying in that perimeter, and that his "Bigass mutafuckin' spot" joke was not funny. Roxanne sympathizes with him.

That night, Godzilla arrives at the nuclear power plant and recharges for a bit. BJ says he finds this odd, because Godzilla is usually weak after fighting other monsters, and "there hasn't been a monstah attack for 10 skreeonk' years!". Roxanne says he shouldn't overthink this, and they both get a little intimate. Next morning, BJ is flying Roxanne home, when they both see the giant unidentified spot flying past them. This time it lets out a "scary motherfuckin' roar!". It also attacks them, causing them to crashland on the nearby Infant Island.

The Shobijin there warn them that Earth is in terrible danger. According to legend, the giant monster Megalon, would awake when Earth's balance was in despair and would probably destroy mankind. Roxanne puts the 2 and 2 together, and realizes the battleship-sized spot is Megalon, who wants to destroy mankind because Global Warming unbalanced Earth's balance. One of the natives calls Roxanne "very smart, and I like smart women". He then attempts to rape her, but Roxanne tazes him. This arouses BJ. The natives laugh.

Meanwhile, Godzilla is wandering aimlessly around the States. Oklahoma is the first to go down. At their headquaters, General Rage and their colleagues suggest "the big guy might just need a girl". Everybody laughs. BJ and Roxie fly in Mothra's back to the rescue. When they land, Mothra and Godzilla start roaring at each other. "Goodheavens, looks like they're having conversation!". The Shobijin are kind enough to translate "Mothra, the Thing, is trying to convince Godzilla to stop smashing things and help her fight off Megalon". Godzilla leaves. BJ suggests that the monster may see no reason in helping mankind because they're always shooting at him and refer to him as "one ugly skreeonk!".

Megalon arrives and beggins causing mayhem and death. Mothra is too weak to fight him. Roxie says she's got an idea. Godzilla arrives to save her fellow monster. The Shobijin declare "Ah, Godzilla has changed his mind!". Megalon is still too tough for either of them. General Rage "Normaly I'd send choppers and stuff, but this is just too fun!". Roxie arrives, piloting the newly created prototype battledroid J.E.T J.A.G.U.AR. "Don't ask me what they stand for!" she boasts. An epic battle ensues. The military at the base take all sort of MST3K cracks at what they see.

Mothra is knocked out, J.E.T J.A.G.U.A.R gets knocked out, and Godzilla is exhausted. BJ remembers his plane was carrying vital nuclear reactor materials. He asks the Shobijin to teleport the plane there. They agree. BJ then flies the plane right into Godzilla's mouth! The King of Monsters recovers, whooping the floor with Megalon's ass. Mothra then carries his carcass into space, while Roxie/J.E.T J.A.G.U.A.R give Godzilla a pat in the back. BJ then emerges from the wreckage of his plane. "It's only a flesh wound!". They all laugh, and Godzilla swims into the sunset.
