I know we've already established this but I just heard back from X-Plus. They said the shoulder cannons and wrist blades on Kiryu can't be removed for safety reasons. ;-)

Naw I'll take them all in 30cm. Most of the 30cm sculpts have been superior anyway. With a line like X-Plus you make room somehow haha.

Still cant get Rodan to stand up! Suggestions fellow X-Plusers?

There's a really good putty called "HandiTAK" that I bought, I think, at Home Depot (or Lowe's). It's yellow and you can tear off just enough to cover the bottom of the feet. He'll stand then. It rubs right off too, if you want to remove it. Doesn't matter how long it's been on either. I used it to stand up several action figures on a shelf at one point because they kept taking swan dives off the edge.

Excellent tip! No residue or damage whatsoever?

Sanda and gaira could stand to get the same treatment as long as their feet can escape unscathed...

I'll buy any 30cm monster. The only criteria is that is has to tie back to a Godzilla movie. So I didn't buy Magma but I did buy the Gargantuas. I only buy the 25cm figures if they haven't done a 30cm version first. So, I bought Ebirah, Jet Jaguar, Megalon, etc. but will unload those if they ever make 30cm versions. I only have two Godzillas... a 1954 & 1964. I will likely buy a 1968 version eventually but that's all I want of the Gs. Gotta cut back somewhere and for me, limiting the number of Godzillas I buy is how I do it.

I would go with the 30cm line exclusively as well if it weren't for two factors -

Money - I'm a full time college student, so I work during my summer months, and rely on a monthly allowance (whatever I do not use, or save up, I use to add on to my collection)

Space - I live with my relatives at the moment, and my room is quite small (being that it is a renovated garage.) So it's not like I can acquire a lot of BIG figures.

At the moment, I am primarily focussing on buying figures from the 25cm line, which does have some neat sculpts. I think the upcoming Godzilla 1989 will be my only 30cm figure for a while, that is until next year when I move out of my relative's, and finally (and hopefully) get a decent paying job.

So what do ya'll do about all these huge X-Plus boxes? I was stacking them in my closet, but man do they fill up space quick with only a few figures. I know some people are crazy enough to throw them out, but I just can't bring myself to do that for reselling purposes down the road..

Unfortunately, I don't have anything on display just yet so everyone is living in their boxes within my closet. :(

I would NEVER throw away the boxes! Collectibles 101, the package adds value (A LOT)!

That's one thing that I like about the 25cm line in that I don't worry about the boxes in the sense that I just stack them in the closet with a bunch of other collectibles. The 30cm boxes look nicer so I place them atop of the display cabinets that their figures are in.

Going on to three weeks without an update of new product in either line from X-Plus.
Im thinking we'll see some figures supporting their Mechagodzillas, but the question is will we see King Seesar in a 25 or 30cm form. He's got to be next? Maybe Anguirus with his jaw torn open?!

biollante was the first box i seriously considered throwing out. it's huge, it just says biollante in katakana, and it's brown. that's it.

but i ended up keeping it.

I don't have the Biollante - how big is it in size compared to the Rodan box?

it dwarfs rodan's box. It's probably going to be the largest box of any x-plus toho godzilla release until KG comes out...even then, as long as they have a creative way of packaging the wings, it still may not be as large as biollante's box.

the biollante box is large mainly because the figure comes fully assembled...no tail or what not to attach like 30cm figures...and the vines are all already glued to the figure. so the box is large enough to encompass the whole figure plus the requisite padding, etc. it cost over 2000 yen more to ship than rodan

If I see another "Ultra" monster announcement, it'll be too soon. Do we really need 4+ releases for every 1 Toho. Are there that many people buying THAT many of those things. Grrrr.

I'm hoping for Kumonga as the next announcement! Varan might make a lot of people happy as well.

I would like to see those two figures as well, this way I can save some money :D

I think my 30cm want list is down to 1/2 dozen or so...
- Burning G
- Ghidorah
- Mothra adult
- 90's MGodzilla
- Toho Kong
- Mechani Kong
- Mecha Ghidorah
- G2000

That means no Space Godzilla, Orga, Megaquirus, or giant insects from Monster Island. Though I'm not looking forward to the Ghidorahs due to the cost and space.

To be far, there are a whole lot more Ultra monsters to work with. And yes, in Japan especially, I don't doubt that they're selling well.

Anyone know where I can still get the following 25cm X-Plus figures for a decent price?:

Megalon
Jet Jaguar
Baragon
Ebirah
Goji 71, 73, 84, 89, 01
Goji and Anguirus 55 (colored versions only)

I'd really like to get Megalon the most right now I think.

I know Megalon's on BigBadToyStore for $209.00 http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retail
If you search on ebay, various auctions and buy-it-nows have him a wee bit lower.

The rest of the figures, I am unsure of.

Thank god I don't have the urge to be a completist with X-Plus figures. I'd be broke as hell!
I'm perfectly happy with what I have right now - 25cm Gigan, 25cm MechaGodzilla, and the upcoming 30cm Godzilla 1989. I'll just buy new releases as they come - as long as I like them, that is.

Search Bay for X-Plus Godzilla, and then save the search. Every morning you'll get an email of new items. I think that search would be to general though, so maybe a specific search for each one.

On another note, I broke down and picked up the 25cm 64G lmtd Mothra larvas edition from Anime Jumgle in LA. $324 shipped. Not a great price, but not the $400+ I'm seeing on eBay.

Really? My order was $306 shipped. But yeah, like you said, I wasn't thrilled about the price but I was satisfied at least. Hard to find them anywhere else. I will say that once you have it, you won't be disappointed. One of the best X-Plus releases out there in my opinion.

I found an X-Plus 25cm Godzilla 1989 for a decent price I might pick up. Anyone have any thoughts on this figure? I think it looks alright but the mouth paint seems a little bright. But I figure I should probably get it to go with my Biollante.

Also if anyone wants to buy a 30cm X-Plus Mothra Larvae (opened) for a decent price, I know someone who is selling. Let me know if you're interested.
