LIKE YO DICK!

The majority of giant monsters are either gods, space aliens or mutations though. I think their lifespans vary wildly, though for various reasons, they all seem to be pretty long-lived.
A lot of them also have a tendency to get frozen or buried and are able to stay in suspended animation/hibernate for EONS without dying or decomposing. Accounting for that makes figuring out their lifespans even more confusing.

NSZ wrote:Well, Godzilla in the Heisei era lived to be pretty old. He was already a fully grown Godzillasaurus in WWII, and as Godzilla he lived until he died in 1995 and that's only because he absorbed too much radiation. And the Godzilla from Megaguirus was pretty damn old as well.
I guess the answer to this is that kaiju can live a really skreeonk long time.
edgaguirus wrote:Many of the prehistoric animal kaiju seem to hibernate or sleep alot. Maybe that's why they live so long. If not fallen in battle, I imagine they'd die after 100 or 200 years. There are tortoises that have similar lifespans.
But the real answer is that kaiju live as long as the movie industry wants them to.

Under 50 years is "pretty damn old"?
