Commercial sightings section?

Postby MaxRebo320 » Tue May 08, 2012 9:26 am

Does anybody else think that there should be Commercial sightings section on Toho Kingdom? The commercials should exclude ones for the films themselves, toys, or video games for it. I actually mad a big playlist of a bunch of Godzilla commercials I found online:

Isn't that already called the "sightings" section?

No. And I think the sightings article needs a MAJOR trimming. Half of the sightings shit is not even a sighting. Alot of it is AH's old "DERP LUKS LIKE BARAGON. PM ADMIN!"

Missing crap? It has too damn much. I'd rather we get more Character Analysis. Seriously if I never have to see another "Sightings" that's so obscure no one would give a shit it'll be too soon.

We REALLY need an update on the Analysis section. We should be able to see the insides of other kaiju and learn the kind of power they posses.

Why is there even a Sightnings section to begin with? Who gives a damn if someone mentions Godzilla in a movie or TV =\

More Analysis plz.

This. !00% this.

Sure Analysis can be considered a waste of time but it's far more productive then listing movies and shows that make some Godzilla related jokes even most fans don't find funny at all let alone care about.

The Analysis section needs a comeback, sometimes i read the ones already it has for when im bored or to
remember the abilities of some monsters. Although it has been mention that it takes time to translate
what the Toho books have but its better to wait knowing that one is being done.

I really meant being able to see what truely makes up kaiju like King Ghidorah or Gigan. It'd be interesting to see Mecha-King Ghidorah's anatomy.

Probably a little similar to Megalon (Robotic parts inside tissue) but anything is welcome.

Beefing up the cast page with actors and actresses from the golden age (you know, people who actually matter, not Simpsons vocal talent) is probably a good place to start.

I would like to see old interviews with the cast since I always like to learn more from the people who work on the film.

I dont know if a full Commercials section would be warranted, since IIRC the total number of commercials in the United States that either show on screen or referrence Godzilla is less than 10, but I think it could be added to the general sightings TV section. Now as for commercials in Japan, I have no clue, but its probably a lot.

I think many of the sightings are legit. Anything in a movie or TV show in the US or Japan that referrences Godzilla in name, or image should continue. I spoke to AH about all the anime referrences (especially audio ones), because to be honest probably almost every Ultra Monster & Monster-Type Mech featured in a Super Robot anime has some variaiton of a Toho kaiju roar. But the admins continued to accept them. But I dont agree with statements like "Nobody cares about an obscure referrence to Godzilla in TV show "_____" " because frankly, if nobody cared, then it wouldn't exist. Would I like to see sightings in general be trimmed up a bit? Definitely, but it dosen't have to go away completely. I still have a couple of good ones I would like to submit in the future, its just not high on my priority list at the moment.
There has never been a "Scientifically Accurate" Dinosaur portrayed on any Television Show, Movie, or Documentary. Only what the human imagination can conceive, and I'm ok with that.

I know what we need, a compendium of all the times a professional wrestling matchup references Godzilla. I know Jerry 'The King' Lawler used to love referencing King Kong vs Godzilla when two particularly large wrestlers squared off

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8FnPn7SBHQ Or here, where Mark Madden remembers Godzilla vs Megalon and relates it to Kevin Nash vs. Goldberg. It's near the very end of the video.
