I'd LOVE to see something along the lines of the Moraga California scene from Godzilla 2000. Everytime something goes for goji you see fallout and radiation sickness from flesh and blood flying everywhere. "...it wasn't rubber at all. Nor was the stuff on his shirt melted plastic. The black rubber was really chunks of godzilla's flesh, blasted away from the creatures body. And the green goo was...Godzilla's blood." "try as he might, Burgleman just couldn't control the spasms in his gut. Long after everything was out of his stomach, Burgleman still felt convulsions rip through his abdomen. He was so sick he couldn't move, couldn't walk. He just gagged and writhed on the tile floor of his store's restroom."

I'm leaning villain on this one. More so G54 or G84 style.

However, if there were to be sequels, maybe more anti-hero.

Eww. I don't want to see anything like that in a Godzilla movie.

While I think the whole nuclear poisoning angle works great in the novels and 1954 film, I don't think we should have people getting graphic radiation sickness in the upcoming film. Yes, I wouldn't mind seeing the implications of the effects of kaiju on humanity, but I don't think the filmmakers should totally go dark and edgy for the film. I think moviegoers would prefer something that would appeal to a mass audience. You know, this might be the introductory film to a shit ton of fans, most of them are probably gonna be kids. Let me ask, when you first encountered a Godzilla film as a kid, was it super dark and gritty? I bet that most of the movies that hooked us on Godzilla weren't dark and gory.

Wow this is awkward but my first monster film in general ever, not just Godzilla, was Godzilla 1954. So even though I've seen every film and know it can be campy fun at times the first thing that pops in my mind when I think Godzilla is the 1954 version.

Yeah. :-x Though I'm pretty sure I'm just an exception and not the rule, I mean a good number of our fellow fans first G film, and I use that term loosely, was the 1998 failure by Tri-Star.

I'm sick of the "PETA" movies where they don't want to kill Godzilla. That is one reason I love GMK other than Godzilla was completely awesome and laid the hurt on anything and everything.

No more hero Godzilla please.

I like dark and gritty. I love gore and violence. That's something I personally want to see in a Godzilla film. It would be realistic and new I think. Sure, tone it down for the masses, but show what hasn't been seen! When have you seen aftereffects of his passing, or battles? Oh no, the city is flat and there are monster bits laying about! Oh well, let's move on, it's not like this is radioactive or toxic. The first film I saw was G85. I was like 2 or 3, it's one of my earliest memories, along with Nightmare on Elm Street and the Friday the 13th movies :)

Radioactivity for sure. Maybe giant sea lice. Perhaps lice can cause people to turn into zombies when bitten? Dunno if that'll go well with Godzilla, but it's a thought.

They need the characters to adknowledge the damage done, like occasionally have a dude read of estimates of property damage and casualties as well az showing people who have been affected by monsters.

Godzilla makes for a great anti-hero type.
Doesn't really intend to help humans but does so by destroying another monster that was a direct threat to mankind.
Sit back and relax.

Godzilla the villain. Enemy monster should be some type of mythical monster summoned by some powerfull spiritual beings who protect us from Godzilla.

I'd rather both Godzilla and the enemy are villains, it's just their conflict of interest leads to our salvation, neither side really likes us much.
