Lately I've been noticing how important the face & posture of Godzilla are, and how subtle differences can completely change a conveyed personality.
Kiryu-Goji has a posture similar to the Heisei Godzilla, conveying a sense of sheer might. However, unlike Heisei Godzilla's face, which suggests a bully-like personality, Kiryu-Goji has an expression of condescension. This Godzilla looks contemptuous and disdainful, as if when he looks at you, he's saying, "How DARE you enter my territory! How DARE you challenge me!"
This Godzilla knows he is the superior life form, and he has no patience for us lower life forms. On the other hand, when this Godzilla is knocked to his feet, the face is somehow capable of looking humiliated, perhaps even humbled.
For these reasons, Kiryu-Goji is very high on my list of favorite Goji suits, ranking extremely close to Sokogecki-Goji.
I don't want to be TOO long, so I'll discuss Sokogecki-Goji another time.
