I think that's Cicada Woman from ULTRA Q: DARK FANTASY.

I haven't actually seen it, though, so I may be incorrect.

It's actually Cicada Man from the original Ultra Q. You were pretty close, though.

Is the region free Ultraman Max DVD on Ebay legit?

None of the Region free dvd's I've seen to date on eBay of Ultra series are "legit" as you put it, but I would have to see the specific example. There has been a recent crop of new Anime as well as Japanese TV series & movies that seem to be legally licensed for sale in Malaysia. It would be awesome if some English subbed Ultra series was included in this. Do you have a link to the auction in question? -I know purposely pointing out bootlegs is against rules, but many have cited some to legitimately ID Bootlegs to avoid them, that would be ok I think?
There has never been a "Scientifically Accurate" Dinosaur portrayed on any Television Show, Movie, or Documentary. Only what the human imagination can conceive, and I'm ok with that.

^Check your inbox.

In other Ultra news, I managed to watch the Mega Monster movie subbed on YouTube. What a fun flick, the only thing I didn't like was that all the monsters other than Gomora (he's a good guy?) were treated like cannon fodder. Antlar, a tough cookie back then, is finished off in under 10 seconds! But besides that, a fun film, it was a blast to see all the classic monsters.

^To get the Gomora being a good guy thing, you have to see Mega Monster Battle the series. It's pretty much Ultraman: Pokemon edition. Main protagonist controls a super overpowered Gomora and battles other monsters.

In the original UGMB I'd say he was depowered actually. He needed regular help to defeat even the weaker monsters, much less the powerhouses like Fire Golza vs Gan-Q.

Alright, I think I will attempt to start a new fun, ongoing topic here. Basically, what are your top 4 favorite monsters from the original series? (It would be cool if you could also state the reasons. :D )

Mine are:

1. Antlar

This guy was the first *tough* kaiju, before it was all easy wins for Ultraman. Here you actually thought that he might lose. This guy's design is great, plus his cunning (and Rodan roar) is great. My personal favorite monster in the Ultra franchise.

2. Zetton

Alright, this guy is the perfect final boss. Here you actually thought Ultraman had NO shot of winning, which was actually true. First off, his design is unique and fantastic. His character screams *no emotion.* Plus he broke out of Ultraman's attack like a boss.

3. Dorako

I think it helps cause I'm a Gigan fan, a lot of things about this monster remind me of him. I like the way he fights, and his design is great. While I don't like his resurrected design as much, he portrays personality. I like this guy.

4. Telesdon

I think this guy is a bit underrated. His simplistic design is cool, and I don't know, there's just something about him that I like. At first I didn't like that they re-used Gyango's roar for him, but it's grown on me. I like the way this guy fights, there's something about him that reminds me of Titanosaurus.

Neronga's always been a favorite of mine. The invisibility and electricity-eating aspects of him were certainly unique, and his face is so terribly derpy.
EDIT: HOW could I forget Skydon? His story's rather wacky, his fight with Ultraman is one of the best things in the show, and he's rather interesting in that he doesn't really do anything. Doesn't go traipsing through the city or eating people. Just kinda sits around. AND HE'S SO RIDICULOUSLY HEAVY.

1. Red King. His personality is just awesome. I like that he's a no frills thug type monster, whose cocky gestures and attitude is disproportional to his threat level. Oh... and he dismembers other kaiju.

2. Gomora. Another no frills monster who was powerful enough to defeat Ultraman! I love his tragic story and his simplistic reptilian design.

3. Skydon. Hilarious story coupled with an awesome saurian design. This bastard weighs 200,000 tons, btw. Watching Ultraman fail to pick him up was a highlight of the series for me.

4. Telesdon. I loved his creepy Outer Limits/Twilight Zone esque episode as well as his look. Landshark!

^RZK's picks are very good. I'd have picked several of the same ones I think. Can't forget Zetton, though. Ooh, and Dorako. And Gigas and Gubira and Kemular and Dodongo and...

Too many to choose from!
