Do you know how fun it is to rattle you? I can almost hear the tears. Just having a bit of fun at your expense. You Bandai wank too hard.

Fact: Varan and Manda's absence leaves to glaring holes in Bandai's lne up.

And you're right-Bandai and Marmit aren't peers. Marmit is peerless.

So you're flamebaiting me? Very mature,

Fact: Varan and Manda's absence leaves to glaring holes in Bandai's lne up.

So the absence of two relatively minor and obscure Toho monsters literally ruins Bandai's Toho vinyl line for you? Incredible.

And you're right-Bandai and Marmit aren't peers. Marmit is peerless.

I like Marmit too. I've lost count of how many Marmits I've got. But peerless? Stop trying to continue this nonsense by saying things that don't make sense.

Good lord, does anyone notice a correlation?

I wish the MKG was a tad bit bigger, because then I'd consider buying it.

I have several of these figures. If I'm reading Club Tokyo correctly, these are the versions:

Anguirus (first release)
Destoroyah (Movie Monsters release)
King Ghidorah (Movie Monsters release)
Mogera (Movie Monsters release)
Mechagodzilla (Movie Monsters release)
Spacegodzilla (first release)

Although these figures are pretty good overall, I think all of them (except MG & Mogera) need to be redone.

I never want to see Angilas, Space Godzilla and specially the Heisei Godzilla re-released ever again.

And RZK, combating something you perceive as flamebait with something you outright admit is REAL flamebait is probably NOT the smartest thing to do.

So insulting a group of fans for utterly no reason isn't flamebaiting? You're awful cute when you're being hypocritical.

And Rody didn't mean a rerelease. He meant new sculpts. And he's right. Almost every monster could use a resculpt. And believe it or not Anguirus fans are probably not satisfied with a sculpt that's more than 20 years old.

I KNOW what Rody meant. That's why I said I never want to see those figures re-released again. They desperately need resculpts. I was agreeing with him. God damn it, you're so desperate to pick a fight with me you're seeing arguments that aren't even there.

And believe it or not Anguirus fans are probably not satisfied with a sculpt that's more than 20 years old.

Holy shit, really? That sculpt needed to retire over a decade ago. I'll bet if Angilas was an Ultramonster we would have seen a re-sculpt by now. Too bad he's not.

Lol, you're just so bloody contrary I assumed you were picking on Rody. Your disdain for Heisei monsters is well known after all. That's assuming you're telling the truth at all. Not that I even care, really.

I've had my fun. No need to disrupt this thread any further.

Wait, why was Ultraman brought up in a Godzilla thread anyway? Two separate entities, nothing to do with the other.

What would the price range be on these bad boys? I see the Destoroyah jump around from $15-$45, curious about the others.

The only one of these I have is the King Ghidorah from '98. The rest just never appealed to me because I already owned all of the 8 inch versions by the time these started coming out.

The only figures from Bandai's 6 inch line that I have are the ones that don't exist in any other form; Titanosaurus, Hedorah, Jet Jaguar, MG 2, and the various Showa Godzilla's (though I still need a handful of those).

Bandai DID make a Jet Jaguar and a Hedora in the 8" line, Goji.

Lost my chance at KC. Swore I've been told before if you're outbid in the last thirty seconds eBay automatically adds another thirty seconds. Panicked to submit the bid before the auction ended and didn't end up bidding high enough to beat the guy.

*face palm* The hell is my problem. I'm sorry, I should have said "sculpts that don't exist in the 8 inch line". I never did get that original Jet Jaguar, actually. The 90's Hedorah was one of my first though. I love that figure.

BTW......Ultraman is (and has been for a LONG time) much more popular in Japan. Go there and see for yourself, because both times I have been there (2001 and 2006) the Ultra stuff far outstrips any Toho stuff. Plus the value (what people actually pay) on those old Ultra Marusans are WAY over the Toho stuff, plus Bandai as a corporation puts their money into what people want and what sells. They haven't been around this long by ignoring that old rule. PLUS the exposure in Japan of the Ultra universe compared to Zilla is TREMENDOUS. Countless TV series (spread over 47 years) compared to 28 movies (spread over almost 58 years if one moves ahead to this year).

Also I love Marmit too but how much "respect" (strange word to use for a company that sells collectors toys) can I have for a company that goes WAY over the top with all the variants they have?

Who cares how many variants they release? No one has to buy them. Seriously, I love having the option to pick and choose from various color schemes, taking what I like and leaving the rest. If I already have a mold and they come out with a version I like better, maybe I'll buy it, though probably I won't; Marmit isn't twisting my arm either way.

Well sure....but that's not the point. Obviously no one is twisting anyone's arm to buy ANY of this stuff. Bandai, Marmit, Bullamrk...any of it. Marmit (like Bandai) try to milk as much as they can from many of their figures so in the long run......... not much of a difference there. Marmit just crams them in a smaller time span. The bad part is that you usually have to grab them when you see them or they may not be there next time you look. So you grab one and then a month later a variant comes out that you may like even better. So then you grab that one and you got two of them. Or you don't but whether you do or not it over fills the collectors market with too many of the same figure. Not really special any more.

Yeah, we're practically tripping over the Marmit variants around here. They're so common!

Yeah, they've overdone the Burning Godzilla a bit. Still, they're highly desirable, and it's not like Bandai hasn't overdone variants and theater exclusives in the past... with less desirable results.

But yeah, Ultraman is more popular, especially since Final Wars. lol
