If anyone is looking for the following Bandais:

GFW Minya
Cretaceous King Ghidorah
Little Godzilla
Viras
Kanegon
Red King
Gomess
Reconstructed Pandon
Gesura
Alien Guts

or Vintage original Bullmark/Popy/Nitto figures, check the marketplace. There's a ton of excellent stuff up for grabs right now:

I didn't want to start a new topic, and this seemed as good a place to ask as any. I'm heading down to NYC on Wednesday, and I'll be doing a bit of toy shopping. I always hit Toy Tokyo, Image Anime, those little Chinatown shops (bootleg toys, yay!) and such, but I'm looking to see someplace new. Anyone have anyplace else to recommend? Hole-in-the-wall joints that tend to have a few vinyls, that kind of thing. Suggestions?

none. unfortunately...you are about 20 years too late. Zakka, Forbidden Planet, Children of Paradise, some shops in Chinatown (one was legit place..got a lot of my 8" showa bandai from them at great prices) are all either long gone or they don't really have an impressive inventory of godzilla anymore.

Yeah, I know. Most of the old haunts have been shuttered for ages. That's why I was asking about the potential out-of-the-way places that I might've missed. It was a long shot, but who knows. I never expected the mall in Syracuse, NY to be selling vintage Bandais and Marmits, but damn if the comic shop didn't start doing just that a couple years ago. That's why I like to send out the feelers every now and then; the landscape is always changing.

I'm wondering where I can find an X-Plus 25cm Godzilla 1964. Everywhere I look it's either sold out or priced over $200.00.
I saw it on HobbySearch and Amiami for around $114.00 - unfortunately they're sold out there.

Where do you think I can find it in stock elsewhere online for the latter price?

Unless it was an unpopular release, which this one wasn't, I wouldn't count on finding one for the price it was when it originally came out. You'll likely have to pay after-market prices now. There's a guy on eBay right now selling one with a Buy It Now of $213 shipped. That's probably the most reasonable price you'll find IMO.

Thanks, but I ended up reserving X-Plus' upcoming Godzilla 1989 figure instead.

The only real player in Manhattan (I don't know about the other boroughs) is Toy Tokyo. The comic shops here have long stopped carrying Godzilla and now are mostly sideshow statues and the comic-book action figures with a mix of star wars/trek. Unless you count bandai creation. It's pretty much been that way for a LONG time so it's in a static state...and I've been looking around for over 2 decades (I've lived in nyc all my life)

Oh well. Looks like I'll be heading right back to Toy Tokyo again. Last time I was there they didn't really have much that caught my eye, at least in the way of kaiju eiga. Cool store overall, though.

I'm looking for the X-Plus 64 lmtd Ed 25cm Godzilla with the larvas, though am hoping not to have to pay $400 for it. Any leads out there? I keep checking eBay and missed an auction earlier in the month for one that was $224!

If anyone's looking for it, an auction for a Bandai Keizer Ghidorah has just come in for $49. I would put it on my watch list, but I already have him.

I still want a Marmit Battra larva. One finally turned up on eBay (from what_a_day, of course), but it's a hell of a lot more than I'm going to pay. Anybody sees one for less than $200, let me know.

I'm looking to pick up the X-Plus 25cm Mechagodzilla Exclsuve with the Blackhole alien, at a decent price.
I see one on eBay for $299, but am hoping to find a better price than that.
Thanks in advance!
