Brad, would you give me a chance to go double or nothing on another bet?

LOL!! You're killin' me Smalls! Sure, double or nothing. What should we bet on next? This is fun. :-)

You forgot Kiryu! You gonna get him?? He'll be another $600-$650. :(

Sorry, I don't collect resin figures. Too fragile. My Anquirus resin from a diorama where he's posed with G has broken spikes off his back. :?

speaking of Kiryu, painted pics are up on Hobby Search. I gotta say, I prefer the High Mobility Type, and thats not just the $200 in savings talking...

@GCrusher: Where in CA do you live? Anywhere near SD? Also where did you score that Gorosaurus? I was going to ask if it was an original issue...I still prefer it to the reissue colors, and I definitely want the box to complete my set. A great score for that price if you ask me...what was the condition on it? And major score on the Gigan 30cm; a fraction of what I paid this late in the game? Impressive.

@Drunken Kong & GCrusher: A word on JJ, he will complete your set and is a damn nice figure, but IMHO is the biggest rip-off in the X-Plus series. We get discounts on guys like Manda and Minya in the 30cm line, but I swear to God that nothing took less vinyl to make than Jet Jaguar and he was the same price as all the other 25cms. Dammed unfair if you ask me. But it will be nice to have the Megalon set; I do love the Gigan and only kind of wish he was the 73 version...I think the 25cm might even beat out the 30cm in this case (also feel that way about the MG 74).

And finally, a plea to leunames or anyone else who reads this thread...my Kingdom for an Anguirus! While I would like an original Goro if I could move my reissue I am getting extremely desperate for a Angy 68 30cm! The only sculpt I am missing from my X-Plus set!

Sorry for the rant...making up for my lack of posts in recent months.

Well the Goro he bought from me. Brand new!

Anguirus is a tough find if only because it's the only early x-plus release that hasn't been reissued in some form or another. I'll keep a lookout for one

And to those who have been asking about the 25cm Mosu-goji...my contact said he sold all his stock (exclusive and standard) last week...sorry fellas

That's too bad...thanks for asking though man.

Also, I'm ready for some more 90s X-Plus stuff. Give me an X-Plus SpaceGodzilla.

I hope they make a King Ghidora and a Titanosaurus soon. That would make the majority of us happy according to the poll.

If anyone is looking for the first release of the X-Plus Gorosaurus there is one eBay right now. I would pick this one up if Leunames hadn't hooked me up earlier.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/X-PLUS-Toho-30c ... 2951wt_902
The price on eBay is pretty consistent with what this figure goes for.

Yeah that's a pretty standard decent price, unfortunately. Luckily I'm not a die-hard completionist - only partly :P

Anyone dipped into X-Plus Ultraman stuff? I've been thinking of getting that X-Plus Belial. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

EDIT - Another Gorosaurus here http://www.ebay.com/itm/X-Plus-Gorosaur ... 3a72e42c0a

Rodan arrived today...and he is AWESOME. My initial dislike for the face has mostly subsided....a very welcome addition to my collection. The box is huge and beautiful as well!

In_the_seaence tipped me off on a Mechagodzilla X-Plus exclusive with the Blackhole alien figure on eBay - thanks again! Now I'm only looking for the 23cm X-Plus 64 Godzilla at a good price, as are some others here in this forum.

I just want to say that I appreciate everyone's help in this forum :-D

My Rodan is in customs in San Fran. I'm about 100 south, so maybe tomorrow I get it!
I have a good size collection of X-Plus but passed on the 30cm '55 figures because I had the 23cm versions. Passed on Ebirah, landing stage Hedorah, crawling Baragon and '89 G because I have the 30cm version. I also don't have the 30cm Mosura larva and Gargantuas and well as the Magma and Manda.
These figures are taking all my money!!
I started out just wanting the main figures; Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, Mothra, Ghidorah, Rodan and Anguirus, then began picking up others. I'm debating the '89 30cm G as it looks very similar to the '92 G, to me it does anyways.

It does look a bit similar, however since I don't have the '92 G (and everywhere it's either sold or over $400.00) I went ahead and reserved myself one on Hobby Search.
Plus, I like the '89 design a lot better personally - and its sculpt appears superior compared to its 25cm counterparts.

Is there any information that indicates the shoulder cannons and wrist blades are non-removable from the Kiryu figure? If so, I think I may change my mind about which one I'm getting. I sent X-Plus and email but they probably didn't understand what I was asking, I haven't heard back.

Unless they include replacement parts for the corresponding areas, I don't think it would.

Every day I'm tempted to jump into the lion's den of X-Plus... But, sadly, I don't like the idea of having to hunt down every single figure 6 months + old.

Are there any figures that are considered to be readily available and at a cheap price?

Green Aiden, part of the "fun" of this line is watching figures disappear. I love looking at my gargantua wonderfest set and thinking "there are 80 of these in the world and i was lucky enough to get one of them." Its not a mass produced, maybe you find a deal type of experience like with the MonsterArts. More along the lines of a specific variant/show exclusive from a Marmit/Gigabrain/Pilot Ace. They make so many, let them out into the world and thats it. The prices start high (which I dont like) but the figures are generally outstanding enough to make me sigh and say "it was worth it". Once only a few are for sale...prices sky rocket. I am well prepared for Anguirus to tear me a new one when/if I find a MIB one.

To your original inquiry, I remember the Minya, Mothra, and Magma sticking around for awhile in 30cm, and Baragon, 55 Anguirus, a few of the G's in 25cm. They were marked up though. No way around that on ebay. Check out Drunken Kong's page at Skreeonk, he was selling a bunch of 30cms, including the MG and Hedorah.

and its not to late to start. Rodan, 25cm MG, Mothra, and the 30cm G89 and Kiryu can still be had for retail right now.

Brad: Kiryu exclusive comes with weapons attached and they are NOT removable. Vice versa for the Hobby Search version. Forced to choose, I went Hobby Search. If they were addable, Xplus exclusive all the way, just to have the option, but it would have been an expensive option.

Oh, yeah, I get the show exclusive thing, but... For example, say, I wanted the Goji '55 and it went out of production... Yikes.

It's a pain in the ass. If you think you're going to want to collect the whole line, you need to get in early, buy everything as it becomes available, even if you're unsure. If you pass on something when it first hits, you might need to take out a second mortgage to buy it later.

That's why, even though I like X-Plus, I said right off the bat that I was not going to be playing the competitionist game with them. When something like the Mothra or Biollante comes up, and I know I have to have them, I make sure to buy early. Sure, there are some figures that I wished I had purchased after initially passing them up, but since I never had any pretense of owning the full catalog, I don't sweat it.

My Rodan came today and I have to say that it has one of the richer, more colorful paints for an x-plus in the 30cm line.
I'll rate it 9 out of 10 foot stomps!

Ugh, I'm biting the bullet and getting both Kiryus. Ouch! I figure I can always sell one if I want. I'd hate to miss out on the exclusive if I like it better than the regular one and vice versa, this way I can see both and make a determination. Or keep both and swap them out on display from time to time for something different... I figure the longer I keep talking, the more I can justify what I've just done. LOL!
