Hmm, I've seen plenty of Pony Spike stuff, and in all honesty I actually am kinda tired of that. I wouldn't have Spike becoome a pony, but instead turn him either into a mini-Godzilla or a T-rex.

Also, fanfic recomedation, Broken Spirit. About Discord being badly hurt and having to be cared for, and in the process Twilight and Fluttershy see there's more about Discord's history than they thought. Pretty interesting fanfic.

I would like to see an episode where Spike grows up, though I would prefer him being a terrestrial type of dragon, like in Secret of my Excess, since I did always see him as the type of dragon that would be unable to fly. I would imagine a flying dragon at Spike's age looking kinda like Spyro.

Hell yes. 'Twas awesome. Not sure why, but it just seemed to click with the fandom.

^ I'd say it clicked because it was just plain good. Excellent writing, perfect characterization, it was believable, heartwarming, funny/sad/exciting/etc. at all the right points... just an all-around brilliant fanfic. One of the fandom's best, for sure.

I dunno. As much as I liked it, I didn't find any aspect to be particularly groundbreaking. But maybe that's why it's so great. It's a good 'middle ground' story. It measured just about everything- humor, emotion, writing, etc.- in just the right amount, not too little, not too much.
