I love all of these childish assumptions about people who smoke pot. That they're apparently these godawful people who are "stupid", and can't possibly do any good.. Some of the smartest people I know (in the read world, and online) are pot heads, or at least indulge in it occasionally.

Weed is nothing like hard drugs. It's a goddamn plant, for Christ sake.

Yes, this. This a million times over. I too know many people who are pot smokers or have at least tried it and they're all wonderful, harmless people. Many of them I consider very good friends. I did it for several years and even though I've been clean for a while it certainly didn't ruin my life. Demonizing weed just because a person may have had a bad experience concerning it is just as inane as damning alcohol for the same reason.

Oh goodie! I knew last night when I read Donkun's latest post I'd have a multipal pages in the whine thread to read in the morning. If I didn't have to go to work, I'd totally burn through them.

Anyone ever think that this thread is the reason why the Forum has been so volatile lately? It brings attention to issues on the site that might otherwise have gone overlooked. For example, the toys debate is something I would have never known about had I not glanced in here about a week ago.

This thread is a decent idea, and sometimes it helps, but it may actually be feeding all the hatred that people seem concerned about lately.

- This is not the thread for a debate on drugs. Take that elsewhere.

- I'm seeing words like "asshole", "skreeonk", and the like being thrown around in the last few pages. I don't care who it is, quit it. Just because it's the Whine Thread doesn't give you permission to outright flame each other.
