Untitled Star Trek sequel (5/17/13)

I loved JJ Abrams' Star Trek reboot. Of the big sci-fi movies of 2009 I've grown to enjoy it more than both District 9 and Avatar. So I was very excited to hear Abrams will reunite with Alex Kurtzman, Damon Lindelof and Roberto Orci to do a sequel. It's a Bad Robot production so basically nothing is known about the story.

BUT if you've kept up with leaked images it seems that the bad guys will be a rogue team of Vulcans, which sort of makes sense due to their planet being destroyed in this alternate timeline. Benedict Cumberbatch is to play the main villain and I'm thinking... Sybok?

This is just speculation though. I tried looking for a thread but you know TK's search function..

Anyhow... I love ST2009. I dont feel it has the human arrogance of the 1960s ST:TOS (shoot phasers first, call every alien stupid, shag a bitch, then as questions...). I found EVERY character loveable and interesting, especially Spock, Kirk and Chekov. I dug the lens flare on the fights. I did not enjoy the premise as much - you actually needed to read the prequel comics to get the real story behind Spock/Nero/Romulus and the ship (which was a Romulan/Borg hybrid mining ship).

I cannot wait for ST2.

That's because youre using it too often. It needs a couple minutes to 'cool down'. And if you refine your search, the lag seems to go away.

I understand that. I've just had consistency issues with the 'cool down' function. Sometimes it's a couple minutes, sometimes it really is hours. But you bring up a point that it could have to do with exactly what you're searching.

Personally I usually do a manual search.

The search function NEVER works for me.

I almost always do a manual search. But on occasion, I just use the search feature. The first page of results shows up instantly, never giving me what I need by the way (It should search titles first, then in post matches), and when I click the next page, it kicks me off.
