That's why it's tied with the original and only one lower than the SXII in votes on the poll.

I liked the first one only because the other 2 just seemed so overkill to me. They just kept adding on to them.

Dude, stfu up, please. You're annoying as sin. A poll on TK means absolutely nothing, clearly.

Every fan I've ever talked to (gasp, in real life too!) prefers the older Super X designs. Also, I think there is a reason there has never been a Japanese model kit for the Super X-III. Hmm, Imagine that?

I voted for SX2. Yes The Fire Mirror had it's issues but they were on the right track and they knew it because they used the same idea of sending heat beams back with Heisei MechaGodzilla.

Explain what this has to do with...well anything. The Super X-III is clearly not popular with Japanese fans. The Japanese fans are the ones that determine what Toho consider to be popular, or not, quite frankly. If something Godzilla related (monsters, mech's, and various weapons and aircraft) has no merchandise made for it in Japan, it's clearly not popular.

Liking the Super X-III more because it's "realistic", when ironically, it's the most fake looking of the three, just comes across to me as odd, that's all. You're watching fantasy films here guys.

What does it really matter? So what if they're giant monster movies? So what if it's the least popular design. It's just IR's personal taste, the Super-X III simply has more aesthetic appeal for him. That isn't something you can "prove wrong" with statistics or anything.

Anyways, I'm all for Super X-II, it's the most unique. Super X-III is actually pretty nifty as well. I just think it looks "too much" like a jet.

You're very late to the party, guy. All I'm saying is that that Super X is clearly not popular with Japanese fans, and that I've personally never met a fan that preferred it over any of the others. That's all. If you like it, that's just fine. It had a cool arsenal, but it was easily the worst executed out of any of them, (and dumbest looking, but that's just me). That random mist spewing out of the back was just... no.

Um...

Pffft. What the hell does that matter? You're watching a Godzilla film. You're supposed to be suspending disbelief anyway. Besides, the Super X-III looked more like a toy than the first Super X, which was done in a film 9 years earlier...

You like one fictional aircraft over another because it's the only one that looks like it can fly? These are fantasy creations that were built to battle giant monsters, and look "cool" at the same time. I'm simply making fun of your "retarded" reasoning, more than anything.

The Super X-III looks like a toy, and not a whole let else, much less capable of "flying".

Geezus Christ...

Godzilla movies are lumped together with all of Toho's fantasy films. It's as much fantasy as it is "science fiction".

You like the Super X-III, nobody else does. We'll just leave it at that.

You said all that before even mentioning Japan. You even admitted that there are aspects of it that you like. So before you get all pompous about how you're right and everyone else is being antagonistic towards you, realize that you're not any better.

Still at it huh? Okay, let me spell it out for your dumb ass. I've never met fans (In America, obviously) that like the Super X-III. It's also not popular with Japanese fans. It's clearly not popular on both sides of the fandom. I thought it's arsenal wasn't bad, but it looks like shit. Doesn't mean that I "like" it.

Man oh man are the testies being tested today. :huge:

Anywhoo's I liked the Supa Dupa Ex that was written in a fan fic back on the Old GojiStomp forums.
The Supa Dupa Ex was an amalgamation of all the Super X's that transformed into a giant kaiju killing mech.
It was very well thought out, and painted a beautiful picture with the authors finer details.
Alas, I dont remember much about it anymore, as that awesome fan fic was lost when the Stomp shut its doors a couple of years ago.....

I prefer the Super X III, using the cadmium tipped missiles to cool down Godzilla to save the world from a nuclear meltdown? Way cooler idea than the others.

I like the Super X II. Looked nifty and was well designed. Was remote piloted so no one instead it got killed, was immune to Godzilla's breath, had lots of missiles, and was able to avoid his physical attacks. But Godzilla overheated it, so that might want to give the cooling system upgrades.

Super X-II because I loved the Fire Mirror, even though it melted after being blast too much. I also liked that it could do combat underwater. I also liked the music suite for it the most, very catchy and memorable. I did like the first Super X’s missile holder, it was a sweet design.

I want to clarify that my preference for the Super X-3 also comes from its more aerodynamically-sound design. One of my greatest pet peeves with the 1984 film is that it strives for verisimilitude in all aspects except for that silly little aircraft. Suddenly, a movie that was doing a good job at placing Godzilla firmly back into a recognizable world threw all of that credibility out of the window for a ship that would be more at home in cartoonish fare such as King Kong Escapes or Destroy All Monsters. I honestly do not know what the designers of that prop were thinking.

As for the Super X-2, I just thought it looked silly. Even more so than the first one.

I thought the Super-X did a good job of blending the sci-fi silliness with a real utalitarian look. I know it's an impossible creation, but it's simple, down to earth enough and non-flashy presentation let's me buy into it; and I think that's a good mix for this series.

It's really bo more rediculous then the Oxygen Destroyer.
