So I watched ZO. My god that was awesome. The monster designs alone win me over. All of them were nightmarish and looked like someone pulled them out from hell....(especially the Spider one). The Neo life form thingy looked disturbing as hell as well. I hope I don't get haunted in my dreams lol.

So far I thing my favorite Kaijin in KR has to be Doras. He's a tank, extreamly powerful, and has an epic win design.

Considering Keita Amemiya was involved with ZO, it shouldn't be that surprising that the monsters looked a bit nightmarish. If you haven't seen Kamen Rider J yet, then do so. He designed the monsters in that one too.

Has anybody seen Shin Kamen Rider yet? I'd like to, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I find it very interesting that he has a more organic design than the other Riders. Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue is....okay. It's a shameless Guyver rip-off and it's frustratingly unfinished (it was meant to be a pilot to a TV series that never happened). But the monster designs are cool, the fights are fun and the acting's not bad.

And yes, SaiyanRider54. Kamen Rider ZO is AMAZING. It is hands-down my favorite Kamen Rider movie and the one out of all the movies Toei released in the early '90s I wanted to really see become a full-blown series. I really gotta check out more of Amemiya's work (Garo, Tekkouki Mikazuki, Android Hakaider, and Zeiram namely).

Shin isn't in the Spirits Manga, it doesn't include anyone after ZX.
And it focuses soley on machines, even glancing over Amazon's origins to keep focused on the cyborgs.

That said, it's still really cool. I love Spirits, and it FINALLY gave ZX something to him. Though ZX was so underdeveloped they practically had a blank slate.

I know, I've been sad about this for 3 days now. Stronger is my favorite Showa Rider.

Also time for my weekly Fourze commentary

I LOVED episode 31, it was awesome. Aries is a cool villain, all things considered. I mean letting people sleep, presumably to death unless the receive outside help. I can dig that.

Pros
-Aries
-Gen fighting grunts untransformed, nice old school Ridery
-Everyone finally knows Ryusei is Meteor
-Fourze vs Meteor was an awesome fight

-Cons
-Gen repeatedly pressing the button on the Cosmic Switch was a tad on the silly side
-Libra gets pushed around by Aries too, for him to have been introduced as Scorpio's superior, it's disappointing to see him pushed around by Aries. Though seeing how Cancer ended, this may be fixed later.

Slowly watching Hibiki. After that I might start Faiz or Ryuki.

ALSO I have decided when I watch ryuki I'm also going to watch dragon knight.

So about halfway through Stronger, and I have one complaint. I love the series, but the whole cyborg thing. It's so. Damn. Lame. It's like a throw away explanation for everything. Where the monsters come from, how Stronger's powers work (Beyond his gimmick of Electricity) but it's left so underdeveloped it just doesn't matter. Like his powers could have originated from anything else, and make very little difference to the show. This probably wouldn't be a problem if they left it vague like they did in Amazon. The fact they keep coming back to it though, just makes it seem like Cybernetics are to Ishinomori, what Radiation is to Stan Lee. A plot device with infinite recyclability.


Well that and the Black Satan/Delzer designs are bad, not that Showa Rider has ever been as strong as say..Ultraman in the villain of the week area, but jesus. I think Wanida was the worse.

Also about 11 or so episodes into Blade. So far it's very good, and I like how killing an Undead doesn't magically make it's poison go away. That was a very nice touch on their part. My only real complaint is Kenzaki is a tad annoying, his tendency to shout while as Blade can be a bit much at times. Aside from that, I'm liking everyone. Pretty good so far.

Fourze scans/episode summary:

Episode 33: Ancient City May-Hem - 04/29
Yuuki, Gentaro and Ryuusei were on a school field trip to Kyoto. Everyone is excited except the female student, Yukina Takamura. Gentaro decides to befriend her and wants to give her the most memorable field trip ever!



A mysterious man appeared. In his hand, he holds the horoscope switch?! Who could he be? He is Kou Tatsugami (played by Kazutoshi Yokoyama). He has Gamou’s full trust and works as Gamou’s secretary and bodyguard.



Ryuusei and Gentaro encounters Libra Zodiarts who was lerking around Senbon Torii gate. Both transformed together for the first time decides to team-up and fight Libra!

Episode 34: N/A - 05/06
During the field trip, Kamen Rider Fourze encounters Libra Zodiarts and decides to fight him. While assisting Fourze, Kengo encounters Gamou, who was once his father's comrade. Meanwhile, Yukina shows her true self to Gentaro.



Unbeknownst to Libra, Gamou sent Leo Zodiarts to trail after him. Both Kamen Rider Fourze and Meteor who was in the middle of the fight with Libra was suddenly interrupt by Leo, who fights ferociously with his sharp claws against Libra!



Coincidentally, Gamou is also in Kyoto to lecture at a university together with a man by the name of Shuuki Emoto. He reveals to Kengo that he once researched Cosmic Energy, and tells him something shocking.

Emoto used to work together with Rokuro Utahoshi (played by Tooru Kazama), Kengo’s father.



Kamen Rider Fourze Cosmic State strikes Libra with the Barizun Sword, and is finally defeated! Libra begs for a second chance, but the Dark Nebula waits to swallows him. Will Gamou show mercy after the repeated failure of Libra?

Episode 35: N/A - 05/13
An internet Radio Show "Jin's Milky Night Carnival" became very popular. It talks about the rumors of monsters lurking in Amanogawa High School.



A mysterious person claiming himself to be 'God' sent an e-mail to DJ Jin. It is about the secret of Kamen Rider Club and the hero, Kamen Rider who fought the monsters at school. Being regular listeners to the radio show, Gentaro, Yuki and Tomoko wonders who is this mysterious "DJ Jin"?



A mysterious student shows up at the back of Gamou. Meanwhile, Cancer Zodiarts is back to take revenge on Kamen Rider Meteor. But Kijima is already in the Dark Nebula. Just who are they?



Fourze's Cosmic States debute was epic! I really love the Barizun swords voice as well. If you want to watch it, here you go:

By absorbing the 39 Astro Switches, Kamen Rider Fourze can transform to Cosmic States displaying overwhelming power. In this state, he can absorb all 40 switches and these are placed on this chest.

In this state, he can do a warp drive and carries a Barinzun Sword to use his finisher, the “Rider Super Galaxy Finish.” The sword is actually a lance it is placed near the sheath. Features “Boost Mode” as form of a tactic. Fourze uses this to slash enemies with Cosmic energy cutting them in half.

So episode 32 was FANTASTIC
My god, that was honestly one of the best final form reveals ever. Gentaro went full badass!
I take back everything, I ever thought about Gen in the beginning, he's one hell of a Rider. Also Ryusei, he was great in this episode too.
Fighting all those Dustards without his belt at all? That's something I don't think I've ever seen a Rider do ever. I LOVED this episode so much, if it was a chick, I'd bang it!

Pros
-Cosmic States is certified awesome
-Cosmic States legitimizes every one of Fourze's dumber switches, by showing this as the end goal
-Ryusei going full Bruce Lee, and fighting all those Dustards with his bare hands
-Aries at an end
-Tachibana is now in contact with the KR Club, this should be interesting
-Gen fighting more Dustards before transforming, while extremely beat up, just after pulling a Jesus
-Cosmic States
-Ryusei showing his true character, and not being such a dick
-Those fight scenes man

Cons
-None at all

Episode 32 of Fourze was very impressive. Cosmic States is pretty cool and that whole fight was awesome.
The only thing I will never get over is meteor storm is so ugly. Though I'm so happy about Ryusei not being a huge douche anymore and Tachibana seems pretty bro.

So I watch the first episode of Kamen Rider W and I enjoy it. It was fun and the show seems to have a lot of energy into it. I like the idea of people turning into monsters with the flash drives but they don't seem to explain where they came from (I guess they will explain later?). Overall I enjoy it and do plan to watch more soon.

W was the first rider series that I started, and I love it to this day. It's one of my favorites. ( yes they do explain about the Gaia memories later)
Speaking of W, foundation x appeared in the newest episode of Fourze..... Oh god please let this be a foreshadowing of a new crossover!
And I finished Blade yesterday. Yeah....I'm sad...
I will admit that I like the ending of the series better than the movie's, even if the movie was great.

So I'm up to Episode 5 in W and I really love the show. The show is tons of fun to watch and each episode keeps you asking for more. The characters and the music is great too. The show has a nice mix of action and humor as well.

Finally some confirmed info about Fourze's summer movie.



It has been revealed that the title for Kamen Rider Fourze's summer film is “Kamen Rider Fourze THE MOVIE Everyone It's Space Time!” (仮面ライダーフォーゼ　ＴＨＥ　ＭＯＶＩＥ　みんなで宇宙キターッ！). Along with it are two familiar guys from the classic times.

As a tribute to the 1976 tokusatsu series Space Ironmen Kyoudain, they are Grandain, and his younger sister, Skydain. Both appear before the Kamen Rider Club, seemingly wanting to attack the earth.



Gentarou finds himself asking OSTO Legacy for help, there he meets the director of OSTO Legacy, played by Kohki Okata, and his secretary, Ayumi Kinoshita (Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger). Kamen Rider Fourze begins to seek for their friendship for the universe depends on it.

The director of the film is Koichi Sakamoto. Because of the similarities in their pointy heads, he stated that the viewer should be expecting a fight to see which head is the strongest.

Also known as Uchuu Tetsujin Kyoudain is a 1976 tokusatsu series that were produced as a joint effort between manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori and Toei Company.

As we get our initial images for Kamen Rider Fourze, many people have noticed the similarity between his and Skyzel's head, let alone having both a space theme. Will Super-1, considered as the first Kamen Rider who used a space theme, show up too?

Kamen Rider Fourze THE MOVIE Everyone It's Space Time! premiers August 4th.

So if the movie follows the same pattern since Decade, then next years rider will appear in it for a cameo. So expect scans of next years rider by the the begining of July. And since it's curently the end of May, expect some more scans very soon.

On another note, I finished Kiva and I really liked it. I wish they could explain some things and Emperor form was just SO OVERUSED. Dogga was only used like 2 times, and DoGaBaKi was used once! Atleast Emperor is badass. That sorta makes up for it.

Aside from Ayumi Kinoshita who will play as the secretary of the Director of OSTO Legacy, another former tokusatsu heroine will make her appearance! It's no other than Cutie Honey herself, Mikie Hara.



Mikie Hara will play the role of the female fighter Iga. Along with her partner Black Knight, they are somehow after Kamen Rider Fourze. But why?



The Grandain and Skydain shows excellent teamwork, and will stop at nothing to defeat their enemies. They take turns in beating Kamen Rider Meteor, who can barely fight back. And Skydain’s sword is too much for Meteor’s body to handle.

Kamen Rider Fourze also tried to take them both, but they are too much for him to handle. How will they ever beat the Space Ironmen, and prevent them from taking over Earth?

The next Horoscope after Aquarius, is the Taurus Zodiart. Who is he and what is he capable of? Before engaging himself in battle, he always requests that his opponents sign a contract. The one who loses are never allowed to interfere with winner in any way.



The Taurus Zodiart is an avid golfer and the loser has to obey the winners every command.



To prepare himself, Ryusei trains as hard as he can at golf.



He uses the Meteor Storm Shaft to play some golf.



For some reason, Virgo is attacking the other Horoscopes. What is her goal?!



Gentaro and JK has finally decided to become super serious students! Even going as far as becoming honors students. What has happened to them!?

Just started getting into Fourze. I love the way it blends stereotypical American high school cliques with Japanese ones. It's like a completely bizarre high school setting born of a combined Japan-US history of high school sitcoms.

Plus Fourze's design is just plain cool, and the characters are funny.
