No, really. I wasn't expecting much but it blew me away. Best episode out of seasons 1 and 2 together. Definitely better than Best Night Ever.

I don't know. Even young dragons like Spike could easily become violent under dangerous moments. Had this show have a bigger rating, I could imagine Spike just ripping apart the Changelings, regardless if they were in his form or not.

It's a possibility really, all it'd take is Chrysalis (her real name) realizing Discord was a threat to her and her kind as much as he is to the ponies.

Did anyone else notice something? Chrysalis was hit with enough force to send her hurtling into the distance at what was probably super sonic speeds. Am I the only one who thinks she didn't survive that?

Did anyone else hope that Cadence was actually evil, no imposter? I dunno, I just think that her actually being some kind of evil mastermind would be a cool twist on the 'pretty pink princess' role. Maybe not the preferred fairy tale ending, but I would have liked it. I think a villain that doesn't look like a villain is needed in the series, ya' know? So, yeah, add that onto my 'season three hopes' list.

^ Yeah, I was kinda hoping Cadence would turn out to be evil. That would've made a great twist explanation for... well, her whole existence. When Twilight was trying to explain her suspiscions about the mind-control at the wedding rehearsal, I kept waiting for Celestia to go "Wait... I don't have a niece! Who are you?!", and it would turn out Cadence was manipulating her, too. Or something along those lines.

What we got was good too, though. Queen Chrysalis is definitely one of the show's better villains, and I'm sure the fandom will find ways to make Cadence interesting.

I'm betting that, for the Season 3 finale, there would be a mega battle between the Mane 6, princesses, Discord, and the Changelings along with the dinosaurs(hopefully) in Canterlot or anywhere else.

Hey, we came up with about a dozen personalities for Luna after less than a minute of screen time in her initial appearance. I'm sure the show will give us a nice, long time to do the same with Cadence before dashing them all with a return episode for her.

Chrysalis was pretty much the second best thing we could have gotten though. Well, maybe third after Discord, but like that was likely to happen.

She was Twilight's babysitter. We got to see a flashback of her as a teenager and Twilight as a filly. I think that's what saved her in the eyes of many fans.


And just like the ahuizotl and the windigoes, the changelings are also based in mythology, and are not any less creepy. Aparently, when a magic creature like a fairy kidnaps a human baby, they leave a replica made of haunted wood or something, those replicas are the changelings.

We're always quick with this kind of stuff, but this has to be a record or something. I'm glad, too. After the generally lackluster response the last few eps have gotten (only one Iron Will fanfic, for Luna's sake), it's nice to see the fandom in high-gear again. Here's hoping this momentum lasts all summer.

Y'know I just realized something.

I read somewhere that when a dragon is tamed by someone, they gradually turn into a cat. So my guess is that Spike is along the stage where he starts to become a cat, but since he eats gems and the like, he isn't becoming a cat, but at the same time he isn't getting bigger unless by greed or if he becomes feral. That would make for an interesting episode.

The two dino's would have to have something to do with Spike and wanting him back but they F***ing hate each other so they fight. And girl would be Twilight.
