I like the duck face, it reminds me of Megarogoji.

I agree it's a design for everybody. But then no Godzilla is. A lot of people like GMK Godzilla, personally I can't stand him. On the other hand, the Son of Godzilla Godzilla which everybody hates is sorta charming.

I wouldn't say it's horrendous looking, but atleast it looks similar to Godzilla.

Am I the only one that actually would like that design in the film?

I remember when Tristar went for a design that looked similiar to that, but horizontal and having some Heisei-traits.

I'd LOVE to see that design finally shine. Plus Stan Winston designed it, the man who brought us things like the Alien Queen, the Terminator, and the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park. I can see this design (or something like it) being used as the final design.

I said it the last 546 times that thing was posted: it's freakin' ugly.

Still more faithful to the original than some of the others.

I think that same design, in black, and with a rougher skin, would look much better.

For me all these dinosaurish designs (including the one from Stan Winston) just don't transport the awe and power, which a 100 meter tall giant monster should necessarily show off to actually be recognized as a monster. These designs mentioned before are just screaming "I'm lame and was too big to get a serious role in Jurassic Park" right in your eyes. Neither monstrous nor intmidating and in no way the "unimaginable and unheard of creature"-type that Godzilla should be. Therefore any design like that wouldn't work for me in a film. The most monstrous and best working designs (for me) were the Heisei version(s), G2K and GMK. They transport basic dinosaurian, but at the same time also some mammalian and even human aspects, making them "unusual". They look gigantic (due to their overall mass), super strong, evil and the most important thing: the first thing coming to mind when you see these is "WOW, what a monster", but NOT "yeah, a dinosaur". Many of the newer "dinosaur-only"-designs just don't carry that feeling. Well, that's just my point of view.

But Godzilla is a giant dinosaur...his form is rather imaginable and heard of.

Don't be "that guy".

Godzilla is far, far more than "just a giant dinosaur" and you obviously know that.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure one of the Global Moderators of this Godzilla forum is a noob.

Makes perfect sense.
