You can have your opinion, but I've checked out Wikizilla a few times and I think the place is trash. Is there correct information there? Sure. But there's a whole lot of complete crap there too. General rule of thumb is to never treat Wikipedia or a fan Wiki as a reliable source. And when it's something as craptacular and juvenile as Wikizilla, I say it's better off ignored outright.

I mean hell, the place lists Matt Frank's re-imagined Neo characters above Toho's actual movie characters. What the f@ck is up with that. Those shouldn't be there at all.

Well...this puts me in an awkward stance here, as I respect Matt Frank's work. Seeing his work for the past 3 years, I've come to respect the hell out of him; knowing how much work he's put into it.
Much to my chagrin, I will have to respect your opinion on Wikizilla. However, I do not agree with your statement. I've browsed through Wikizilla for the past year, and it's very difficult to see what's trash and what isn't. At this moment, I do not have a justification to disagree with you...or to defend the wiki site. You don't like the wiki. That's fine; I accept your stance. I like the wiki. Fine, please accept my stance. Let's just agree to disagree.

I guess all the hobnob surrounding the Media Blasters releases did some good (I am pretty sure there is some kind of connection). I can only hope I could go, though it might be unlikely.

Honestly, no, there's no connection...we just wanted to show a kaiju movie...I think "Megaguirus" was actually the first choice but something happened with that so we're doing Megalon instead.

Why Megalon?

Did you already have the "It's MEGA-fun!" flyers printed out when the Megaguirus thing fell through? ;)

Probably because we found a print of it. We only show actual 35mm prints and those are getting harder and harder to find.

That's beautiful. Keep up the good work.

Sweet.

I was fortunate enough to see a vintage print of KKvsG a couple of years back. Degraded noticeably, of course, but that wasn't the point. It was a thrill just to sit in the old Capitol theater and see it projected in all of its analog glory.

Thats great. I'm good friends with the owners of this theatre, so me and my wife actually got married in it...then we showed KKvG as well!

Cimmerian Dragon, do you have any info about the vintage print of KING KONG VS GODZILLA print that you saw? I'm curious because Universal struck a new print in 2004 for screenings at Godzilla anniversary film festivals. That print was destroyed in the 2008 fire on the studio lot, so Universal struck a fresh print in 2009 which was shown for the first time at the Colonial Theatre in New Hampshire.

I haven't seen the newest print but I did attend a few screenings of the 2004 print and it looked great. A theater would need to book the film from Universal in order to screen it so I'm surprised a theater would pay the fees and not have shown Universal's print.

Not really, it was a long time ago now. My brain barely remembers last week without a refresher course.

I was sooo disappointed when Gfest showed DVDs of KKvsG and KKE in 2007.

Did you go to the 1PM show, or will you be attending the 10PM?

I'll be acting as Gaira, and can be seen in a red Jet Jaguar shirt and blue shorts. Say hi if ya spot me!

Well after having not seen the film in years it really hit me last night how strange of a movie it is. It's such a bizarre experience. It's done in such a matter of fact way too. It makes you think life in Japan in the '70s was really like this. Or I like to think it was.
