Lol Legion you crack me up man. Seriously though, things like this bother me. Hand outs and creativity seldom work well together. If you work is good enough then it will stand out, and people will pay you for your work which IS different from people just giving you money to realize your vision (fine if your very close friends and family want to help you out but asking the internet to financially support you is stinks of a sense of entitlement I think).

So it's a game, on the same engine as the other 3 carbon copies, being worked on by some of the same crew and staff?

That doesn't necessitate that it will be like those games. From what it looks like, the combat system is going to be rebuilt from the ground up. Which means all that's really going to make it like the Pipeworks games is just the fact that it will superficially look a lot like GU (although texturing will be better, as will overall character design).

Hey can I ask for money from members on TK for stuff?

If it helps, I can say Im going to use it to buy the rights to Return of Godzilla/G85 and put it out on Blu-Ray.

You absolutely can do this, but I don't think anyone has any faith whatsoever that you can actually obtain the rights or produce a Blu-Ray.

Don't get me wrong, I'd very much like to be proven wrong, that their project succeeds and is a legitimately compelling game. I'm just not impressed by what I've heard, and have even less interest in putting ideas or money into it.

As much I want to see a new Godzilla game, I don't think it's going to happen. I don't see how Mr. Strange is going to get that much and most of the users on this site don't even have a job or a good paying job to donate for the game. Besides, you can still have with Save the Earth since fans still play the game after several years later.

STE is the only Godzilla game I own. Ive played them all and STE is THE Godzilla game. Godzilla Kaijuu Daikessen is a close second.

You guys missed my point. I'm not saying STE is bad or good. I love it but much more out of a bias towards it for being a major part of my entrance to the fandom than due to it's actual quality or lack there of. My point is when did it get overall popularity back among the majority of fans. My experiences here in 2005 through at least the winter of 2007-08, I remember it still being seen as inferior to DAMM.

STE is the only one I own as well. I enjoyed it but it certainly wasn't the type of game I wanted to play over and over again, especially compared to, say, Super Mario Galaxy, which came out around the same time Unleased came out. Once I started hearing how mediocre GU was, I just avoided it completely. Why do people want more games like these?
