Because you don't make a film of this scale in a matter of months a secret. Not only is it logistically impossible, but it's also silly. LP is going to be flaunting the shit out of this film once they get it going.

They had a premise that was best left vague and secretive though. You don't make a Godzilla film and hide Godzilla. That doesn't make any sense.

Well, it would kinda make sense. We don't hear any news on the progress of the film, it could tie into the film if it decides to have Godzilla attack out of nowhere. It makes complete sense if you don't think about it.

Seriously? We don't have a cast at all. Or even a script if certain reports are to be expected.

Even if those had been decided, we would need several months of production/filming and even more to do the special effects etc.

And honestly I think they're aiming for 2014 because it's the 60th anniversary for Godzilla. Almost like LPG knows that GFW was a disappointment and they wanna make up for a lackluster 50th anniversary, not just GINO.
