That was still INCREDIBLY condescending.
How did you expect people to take "I feel sorry for you" without GIVING it context?
As I said, I should have done a better job at explaining myself. The important thing is though, that I did eventually give context. That what I meant was there are much better shows out there than Family Guy, and those are the shows worth watching. If you take my statement as anything other than that, you're just fooling yourself.
That didnt stop your "critique" from being really asinine.
...That's your opinion that my critique is asinine. Also, just because you think my critique was asinine does not suddenly mean I'm judging other people.
In other words, my critique being "asinine" has absolutely nothing to do with this. I still never said anything about the people who laughed at the picture.
I mean, besides not knowing what 4chan is (???), you just plain didnt get it.
What don't I get then? Because as far as I can see, I did nothing wrong. All I did was explain why I didn't find a joke funny.
I also still don't see what any of this has to do with the whole "judging people" argument you made, since I didn't do any of that in the topic.
And so what if I don't know what 4chan is? Big freakin' deal! I don't go to every single website and see what's going on. Is it really that big of a deal that I didn't notice that it was 4chan? Because I really don't care about that kind of shit.
You're what Opie and Anthony (radio show hosts) call a "hole;" someone says a joke and you question it, break it down and explain why it doesnt make sense, and in turn suck the fun out of it.
As I said to wataru, excuse me for explaining why I don't find the picture funny.
I still fail to see what this has to do with your point of judging other people's sense of humor...
I'm calling you out on being a hypocrite because just two pages ago, you were on your little soapbox going "who are we to judge?" And it's like "well you're one to talk, dude!"
And I'm calling bullshit on you calling me a hypocrite, when you're two main examples of me judging other people just don't work. The first example you used out of context and I reworded so it gives the same impression that I originally intended, but sounds nicer. As for the other example, I never judged anyone in that topic (and just because you think my critique is "asinine", doesn't suddenly mean I'm judging people's senses of humor).
Let me reword part of my last post: I try not to judge people. As you said, we all do it. But I attempt to be fair, honest and trustworthy when it comes to judging people. And when it comes to senses of humor and taste in films and television, I try to not let those things be the guiding force in how I see that particular person.
